A valuable corrective to Waking the Dead - this is a low-key look at Professor John Hunter whose work involves exhuming bodies. There's no Trevor Eve waiting around being melodramatic. Far from it. Hunter, by necessity, maintains a professional emotional distance but, as Duncan Staff's affecting film shows, he's a man who feels things greatly. So greatly that an unexpected tragedy makes him doubt his vocation and ability.
