I love this programme and the bake off......
The one off wasn't quite as good as the series.
But love the actual baking and the judging.
Felt sorry for that young lad,
Harsh to be third place but RUTH. She is a aMAzing. I liked her traditional cake so simple. And I like the choc one of Miranda's although Paul said one was a 'little dry' (sharp intake of breath) but Paul ADORES Ruth and respects her unending perfectionism and invention. As do I.

Yes but she IS fabulous, but I think the lad won the series didn't he? The one who looks about 17?
Miranda's house looks fabulous... sigh.

i want miranda's recipe for that fruity looking effort she made for the traditional cake - looked yummy!!

It did look delicious didn't it.
I love her heirloom pans.
This was my fave series for ages.
Can't decide if they needed Sue perkins and the other one or not? What do you think?

Also I LOVE history usually, but all the baking history bores me somehow. I love to watch them bake, fret, rush, panic, bake etc.
And then cometh the Silver Fox with his Fat Tummy and Swagger! To poke and nibble!
