just a complete rip off of The Box starring Cameron Diaz.

Wondered why I knew what the story line was right at the beginning?Hmm

Punkatheart · 19/04/2011 20:38

It infuriated me, because it had so many flaws. For example - how did the 'puppetmaster' know in which order the murders would happen? If one of them was out of kilter, then the whole chain would have collapsed.......

MollieO · 19/04/2011 21:19

I guess the don't get told about their inheritance until a certain date and there is a date that the murder has to take place.

I reckon she won't get the money as she didn't kill him so breached the terms.

angrymomma · 19/04/2011 21:20

Have to be honest and admit that I didn't actually pay much attention after first 10 mins as I had a pretty good idea what was going to happen.

As for the flaws, I find that a lot of dramas on ITV don't seem to have been thought through as well as the dramas on BBC. It's like, someone comes up with an idea then they just try to make it as 'exciting' as possible without really thinking about the small details that make up a great drama.

Not going to watch second episode as I think I have a good idea of how it will end. Plus I can sit and watch Rubicon instead...so good!

I watched the 2nd episode tonight and it was a bit dissapointing but a so so drama

irishmama · 19/04/2011 22:32

Can anyone please explain the ending?

MollieO · 19/04/2011 23:29

I assume they were in prison for killing Richard Bury. Bit of a cop out ending.

travellingwilbury · 20/04/2011 07:06

It really was a bit rubbish wasn't it ?

Did she kill the guy at the end ? Did they get to keep the money ? The daughter said she was only well because of him so I presume so but the ending was hopeless . In fact most of the second part was .

dayday · 20/04/2011 16:46

I watched the second part and was left confused, my kids wanted me to explain to them what had happened!

Such a rubbish ending, TRAVELLINGWILBURY cant answer any of your questions because i dont know myself.

MollieO · 20/04/2011 17:24

First part was very good. Second part made Midsomer Murders look intellectual.

hattymattie · 20/04/2011 17:37

Oh dear - was hoping somebody could expain ending. I've assumed as she was only in prison 5 years she didn't kill the lawyer. I wish they'd wrap these things up properly!

sb6699 · 20/04/2011 19:05

I had just asked on fb if anyone could explain the ending and got no response!

midlandsmumof4 · 20/04/2011 23:54

Rubbish ending......seemed as though they just ran out of steam. I think HE was in jail for shooting Richard and maybe she was the accessory....Confused. But did they get the £5m because the daughter was apparently cured..very Confused.

Jux · 21/04/2011 00:31

It was ridiculous. The boyfriend was an ex-cop, but he behaved like he'd never heard of fingerprints and other things like that. DH and I were guffawing at his antics.

MollieO · 21/04/2011 07:49

I would have thought the £5m would have been confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Glad I'm not the only one who can't work out the ending.

carriedababi · 21/04/2011 23:27

i think she didn't kill him, her dp went to prison for longer for killing bury
and the nutjob lawman that set the whole thing up paid for the dd to go to usa to get her treatment an that she the d was visiting nutjob in prison aswell

what a load of shite on toast though

ffs itv you can do better

agree bbc dramas are more thought

angrymomma · 21/04/2011 23:31

Thankyou carrie, BBc do put more thought into their dramas. They may not be as 'exciting, intense, unmissable', but at least they seem to have actually thought out the storyline.

Can't resist adding - he was one very rich lawyer - all those £5 million handouts.

MollieO · 22/04/2011 12:37

He wasnt a lawyer. He was a billionaire industrialist pretending to be a lawyer. Seeing that written down I'm amazed I actually bothered watching it to the end!

hattymattie · 22/04/2011 17:43

oh - that totally passed me by (must not drink wine whilst watching tv).
