Anyone else watching? It's like my favourite bits of Countryfile in one programme Grin.

I love lambs. So cute, and so yummy.

Actually, dh just asked me (citing the Archers as an example) "Can sheep not give birth without assistance?" I supposed the constant intervention of the farmers is to minimise death of newborns. Is that right?

Well the farmer was just explaining how they give the lambs a bit of a tug to help them out as they do tend to get stuck, he explained it saves many sheep and lamb's lives Smile

Yes they can the vast majority of them, sometimes there is a leg back or they are breech but you can tell that when body parts start appearing and then you can make a decision, other than that best to leave sheep alone and let them get on with it.
