Ok, it's hardly cutting edge up-to-the-minute stuff but I've started watching the DVD that DP got me for Xmas and I'm addicted! Any fellow fans? What's your favourite one? Is this some of the best acting and writing to come out of Britain ever or what?

Fantastic series, I haven't seen them for ages. My favourite was a bed among the lentils.

Kreecher, that's one of my faves too! Also love 'The Outside Dog' - pleasant surprise as I HATED the Julie Walters one on the first series. Very disturbing stuff some of it but so beautifully written and performed.

Loved them. I did 'A cream cracker under the settee' monologue for A level Theatre studies. Thora Hird was fabulous.

cream cracker was soo fantastic, i loved it. Thora hird was brilliant and it was heartbreaking stuff. Struggling to remember the rest, I seem to recall Julie walters was in 'porn' type films but was 'going to be a star' and Patricia Routledge did lady of letters, complaining about neighbours abusing their children? Cant remember the rest.

Was there one about a middle-aged chap whose mother takes up with a bloke?
I saw them at Harlow Playhouse some years ago. Very moving stories.
