Loved it! I too am a big fan Grin.

moragbellingham · 01/04/2011 17:19

Was going to start a thread myself about this.

After watching Tom Hardy and his repulsive/rather sexy Freddie in The Take I had a feeling it would be good.

DurhamDurham · 01/04/2011 17:27

A very good start to what promises to be a brilliant drama. I can't wait for next week. The characters were brilliant although I struggle to believe that Cathy could have grown up to be such a lovely sweet girl with a mother like hers.

southeastastra · 02/04/2011 09:42

ooh really liked this, gritty, nice and stylish too. have no idea of the story but was great start. looking forward to next one.

gallifrey · 03/04/2011 18:05

I thought it was very good, I really like Jack O'Connell and thought Burn Gorman's (Owen from Torchwood) character was good. I really hope they don't make him be the bad guy, especially when he suddenly put his hands up Cathy's skirt like he did to make her have bruises.

Can't wait for the next one now

this is fab, shame it's hidden on sky.

YouaretooniceNOT · 08/04/2011 17:15

Loved most of Martina Cole books but thought the televised serial drama The Take was an absolute letdown.

southeastastra · 21/04/2011 11:32

is it just me still watching?

MarioandLuigi · 21/04/2011 15:56

Ims till watching. Love Alan Cummings. I sky plus it though so I can skip the gory bits.

Has anyone read the book? I have read it a long tima ago and think I remember the ending but im not sure - can someone PM me :)

GothAnneGeddes · 21/04/2011 15:57

I'm watching, although the 'next week' preview bits are so in depth you might as well not watch. Alan Cummings is fab, the best character by miles. In fact, I'd be happy just watching a series about his character.

MarioandLuigi · 21/04/2011 15:58

Ken Stott's accent is a bit funny though - he slips into scottish every so often.

southeastastra · 22/04/2011 10:21

loving the soundtrack to this - wonder if it's going to be released.

is it last one next week?

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 22/04/2011 13:58

2 more to go, last night was 4 of 6

Bellagio · 28/04/2011 20:52

Was just about to start a thread and then found this!
Second last episode on tonight but I will have to skyplus it as dh is out - grrrrr!
Loving it though, really enjoyed The Take too.

They're not for the faint hearted though, very graphic !
And as for Eamon (Jack O'Connell) well, let's just say I'm getting a bit of a crush on him despite his twisted character, so so wrong as I just found out he's TWENTY!!
