I missed last weeks but just caught up on iplayer so I can watch tonight's episode.

I've just finished watchng it on iplayer! I thought it was a little slow in places but very well acted. What did you think?

I watched it last week, I thought it was a pile of shite. The dullest thing I've seen in years.

I quite enjoyed it, but then I quite like a costume drama that's low brow not too heavy going.

Found the bit at the end between Will and Anna quite touching.

I usually love period dramas but couldn't really get into this. But then I never enjoyed reading D H Lawrence anyway, it's the language his characters use-I always feel it never suits them somehow. But maybe I'm missing the point. Watched half of the first episode then turned off. But I think the acting is very good, I've always admired Rosumund Pike. And anyone remember Rachel Stirling in Tipping the Velvet? She was a hoot in that!
