So pleased! I really enjoyed the first one and should probably admit to crushes on Stephen mangan and Darren Boyd.

Agree with everything you said

No objection to Stephen Mangan himself, but I don't think he fits as "Dirk Gently" either.
It was alright as a tv show, but not quite right as an adaptation of the book.

Agree about Ford Prefect in in the H2G2 film...although the film was a bloody travesty IMO.
The TV series was much better, obviously because DNA had a lot of input.
