Be nice if they would concentrate on the cooking bit wouldn't it?

Starting to think it's a front to promote his alpha male ego?

quite enjoying it
the kebab thing was interesting

Arabica · 27/10/2005 23:00

HATED it. Turkey thing was revolting, those poor children (and turkeys). And what about the campaign to get women back in the kitchen...whole thing gave me indigestion. Reckon Ch4 are so in love with him they didn't dare edit any of his suggestions. One for the Daily Mail readers, I reckon.

bit of Gordon overkill on telly - no thanks!

DissLocated · 28/10/2005 11:32

I only saw half of it but liked it. Never used to fancy Gordon but last night for some strange reason I started to think 'hmmm.....'

watched something else instead and just saw the sign off at the end it looked cringeworthy

3PRINCESSES · 28/10/2005 11:38

Why didn't he just stick his tongue down Martine Mcutcheon's (sp?) ear and have done with it? All that clumsy aggressive macho flirting was enough to put anyone off the whole idea of eating.

Arabica · 28/10/2005 11:40

Enough to give anyone indigestion!

yes I caught him saying something 'phwoarrrr' to her as she teetered around that restaurant. And then the bit when he says you can come and eat here. It was like Brass Eye or something.

Good old Jamie much more refreshing

yes and he looked all big and molesterish

not sexy

scotlou · 28/10/2005 11:51

Didn't like it much - but found it hilarious when Al's pudding was thought better than his by the taste panel! He was not happy!

Is he not a bit Jeremy Clarkson? ie-- dresses like a twat, is total chauvnaist, but is reasonably funny, and is good at what he does. Can't make up my mind about him.

Arabica · 29/10/2005 11:52

I don't think Jeremy Clarkson is funny! Loved GR in the programme where he sorted out failing restaurants but not in this self-indulgent pile of twaddle. I hope someone liberates those turkeys.

Love the programme Love Gordon Hate Martine though do you really think she has NO cutlery and pots and pans at all?
