I can't decide. I think it was a crappy thing of Tyrone to do. If this has already been done and dusted, I'm sorry I never saw Fridays!

No.

braveandcrazy · 27/03/2011 18:57

No, she is keeping the house and they have already made the decision that they are both happy with. As long as he agrees to put some away for 'the girls' he should be able to provide for the baby who still needs help, no matter what. Sally was upset he hadn't told her but she overreacted.

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 27/03/2011 19:02

Yes - but I'd have him hung, drawn and quartered too.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 27/03/2011 19:20

No absolutely not, even if he does deserve all he gets.

atswimtwolengths · 27/03/2011 19:20

I think she should have all of it! She has not only got to live with the fact he had a baby with another woman, but that he used to have a huge moustache!

biryani · 27/03/2011 22:28

It's a daft storyline, IMHO. I don't think she should get any of it because she had already agreed in principle to the terms of the divorce.

gregssausageroll · 28/03/2011 08:04

May be not half but certainly some of it. When they bought the house from Ashley they mortgaged themselves quite high as part of the storyline so I can't see that being much different now. OK, Sally gets the house as part of the settlement but she will still have the mortgage plus she has Sophie too.

meditrina · 28/03/2011 08:09

So does that mean that a couple, once separated, have their financial position "frozen" IYSWIM at some point (when?) before the divorce? So any changes before decree nisi are disregarded?

What happens then if someone, instead of getting a windfall, suffers a major loss?

FoofffyShmoofffer · 28/03/2011 10:15

No but he doesnt deserve it either. They are both as horrible as each other. I hope he loses the ticket down a grid or something.

Hammy02 · 28/03/2011 12:16

I don't see why she is getting to keep the house? If she carries on bleating about the £200,000, he should say fine, you get half of the lottery win, I get half of the house. She'll be no better off.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 28/03/2011 12:17

How old is Sawphie?

meditrina · 28/03/2011 12:19

Born 1994 - I think she's still 16, and in full time education.

EssexGurl · 29/03/2011 17:40

DH and I had this debate on Friday and both decided that it was only fair that she got half. We both remembered various legal cases where husbands got rich after a divorce and the wives went back to court to get some more money. I think Tyrone was right to tell her. However, if I had been Kevin I wouldn't have told anyone about the money until well after the divorce had been settled! Stupid of him to tell the whole pub if he wasn't going to tell Sally.

amberleaf · 29/03/2011 17:43

No she shouldnt.

I really cant stand her character though!

kittya · 29/03/2011 21:30

I dont think so either but, I do hope they will get back together.

Grin Of course. Well he's a damned funny colour. I'm wondering what shade he is on the Dulux colour chart.

David Platt is 'Cheesy Wotsit'.

womma · 30/03/2011 11:57

I think T duckworth is 'cheesy dorito' shade on the dulux colour chart. I thought my tv needed re-tuning when I saw him. Do you think he's come back to be a right baddie, like his evil dad Turry?

I just hope that when Kevin gets his winnings he buys a ruddy new jacket. How long has he been wearing that awful purple bomber? Since the mullet and tache days I think....

I think its his money to keep.

Kevin is sometimes seen speaking on his mobile to someone called Tracey? I think. Obv not Tracey Barlow, guessing it's a childminder.

or Tracey off EE who works behind the bar, at the chippy and babysits kids. Maybe she's moonlighting.

This is one of those times where the story makes no sense, as someone mentioned already if Kevin reeaaalllyy wanted to keep his windfall from Sally he wouldn't have told every bugger else.

StableButDeluded · 31/03/2011 23:42

He has a childminder-he's always saying he has to 'pick jack up from the childminder'.

It's all very realistic in that when tyrone dumped the baby on him out of the blue, Kevin managed to find a childminder immediately who is suitable, has a space for the baby and can apparently accomodate all of kevin's varied working hours (including those impromptu call-outs to people broken down on t'motorway at all hours) plus visits to the pub.Hmm

And I also think his first purchase should be a brand new purple bomber jacket.
