Just wondering! If yes, then did you notice the cameras? Did you regret going on? Was it fun watching afterwards? Smile

no, but my friend was on homebirth diaries!

NotWoozy · 16/03/2011 18:59

oooh I watched every single one of those! Which one was she? Or can you say? I still remember Roz (isn't that sad), a homebirther after 3 (I think) sections.

Doris, it was her 7th

NotWoozy · 16/03/2011 20:28

was that the woman whose husband was studying for something? And the midwives ended up doing the McRoberts maneuver on her bathroom floor? (sad that I know this).
If it was her, then that was an amazing one.

yes, she had a shoulder dystocia. baby was 11lb 12!!!

My friend is the blonde midife if that helps? The cameras are tiny, wall mounted & pretty silent apparently.

Wouldn't get me bearing down on national telly mind.

I gave birth on TV for the series Birth Day Girls, on Living TV

I loved Doris and her family - so chilled out.
She ran a breastfeeding group too didn't she. I loved the set up in her bedroom with all the bedsWink

Do you think they get paid to take part in obem if their birth footage is shown?

And also do they get the final say on whats shown?

Actually ignore that last question as some of the dads can't be that happy with how they were portrayed.

.

Its filmed where I live and several of my friends have been approached (through their midwives, I think)... all have declined though which can't say I blame them.

Go ilove, braver than me!

I was asked (for 1st series) was a resounding NO fucking way!! Not least because I teach in a local school and don't want the parents/children seeing Mrs Weedle's bajingo! How could I do a parents evening after that?! Shock
