great line from eileen in shop talking about sophie falling/jumping off the church roof. 'Well the pastor was with her - oh that reminds me I need a tin of ravioli' BRILL Grin

and now I've just spotted the twins in the hairdressers, identical old biddies in their 60s or 70s!! How come eastenders always wins the soap awards - there's no justice!!

I know! Corrie is utter genius, and even when it's having an ever so slightly shite story line phase it's still so much better than that other claptrap

loftyclodflop · 15/03/2011 14:25

why refer to women as old biddies?

meditrina · 15/03/2011 14:28

I guess in this case because it was a comedic stereotype inserted for light relief.

I like the story lines with the older established characters, the rest is all rather dire at the moment.

I miss Blanche Sad I watched absolutley brilliant clip withher and the family at peter's AA meeting the other day - tears streaming down my face - sheer genius!

sorry lofty, wasnt meant to offend! Not a derogatory term, just a certain type of elderly lady, a granny type as opposed to a glamourous one (although Iknow some can be both!!)
