Just wondered ?? Have just sat through all 6 hrs of the Colin Firth one last few evenings. OOh he was nice in that SWWWWOOOOOOOOON. Not sure why i didnt watch it when on BBC.

Was "Emma" , Kate beckinsale a good adaptation ?

Never saw that but Wives and Daughters (Elizabeth Gaskell) was fantastic, and the new Bleak House starting next week looks well worth staying in for, it's adapted by Andrew thingy who did P&P.

There was a very good adaptation of Cold Comfort Farm about 10 years ago. Or is that not set far enough back to be "period"?

if u liked p and p, u will like the bbc's version of north and south, the guy in it is moody and dark just like colin........
