I think it's because it's world book night on bbc 2 this week.

Northernlurker · 05/03/2011 19:20

No Tudors tonight? Shock I was looking forward to it! Bollocks to book night.

bluebump · 05/03/2011 19:22

No, thankfully! I got my mum to check her radio times and last weeks was episode 6 of 10 I think. I think it's not on tonight because of World Book Day that's all.

SilveryMoon · 05/03/2011 19:32

Phew. That's a relief.
Thank you Smile

We do get to see him marry Catherine Parr 'cos it's Joely Richardson - bet she's brilliant. LOVE the Tudors.

SpermyShenanigans · 05/03/2011 19:40

Oh FFS it's the only programme we watch all week!

LOL at "marry Katherine Parr and die", that's exactly what I said to DH Grin although he thinks there might be a few more episodes dealing with the upcoming war with France...

SpermyShenanigans · 05/03/2011 19:42

Oh and a bollocks from me to by publishers for publishers World Book Day too!

MigratingCoconuts · 05/03/2011 19:51

I'm hoping they'll extend it and carry on into Edward's reign and beyond. All the key players are there and its not like the story got boring after Henry died...still lots of sex and death!!

Peanutjelly21 · 05/03/2011 20:44

When's the next episode hopefully b4 next Sat - just found on it's not on tonight :(

twirlymum · 05/03/2011 21:05

But there would be no JRM!

SilveryMoon · 06/03/2011 07:10

I'd love it if they carried it on

It was pointed out on the other Tudors thread by clever posters that combining Henry's 2 sisters into one messes up the next generation of characters.
I was looking forward to it as well - my fave programme.

MigratingCoconuts · 06/03/2011 08:53

maybe they will carefully 'forget' they did that! Smile

I have to say the hanging, drawing, quartering scene was one of the great throw up moments so far....left me with horrible images all night!

corns12k · 06/03/2011 11:31

yes it was totally brutal

Bue · 07/03/2011 10:29

I thought Cromwell's execution was bad, but this time I really felt they went one step too far with Derham's execution. Totally unnecessary. And I was only listening to it - I had my eyes firmly fixed on the laptop while it was on!

cornsilk · 07/03/2011 16:53

I thought Culpepper's was brutal as well even though there have been beheadings before.

MigratingCoconuts · 07/03/2011 17:27

I had a feeling it would be bad when they went out of their way to make culpepper and Derham so unlikable.

But I too was watch from behing my eyes.

Just brings home what a brutal time it was
