i just can't help think that his reaction is exactly why she didn't want to tell anyone. like i am sure so many women have done.

Thought it was very well done. Am sat here with tears. Don't normally cry over any soap storyline, and don't even follow emmerdale thta much.
But this was very sensitively done. Well done scriptwriters.

yes, i think given lisa's personality and character, they would have had to invent something alot more complicated leading up to the rape for people to have doubted her.

hi re-action wasn't that bad. He felt bad for not protecting her. proud man. then reqalised it wasn't all about him. that she should be the priority and she needed a stroke of her hair and to be told it would be o.k.

well, if i put myself in lisa's shoes and that was the initial reaction, i would be regretting telling him, blaming myself (he was angry with her for not telling him, for letting dennis come to the house and back to the factory with the other staff), feeling guilty and ashamed. not what any rape victim should be feeling and especially not be made to feel liek that by their husband/partner. i accept that it was Zac's personality but i do think shows like this have a responsibilty to their audience and i don't think it gives out a very good message to any woman who ever experiences rape or to any partner WRT how to support the victim.

hi, a bit confused, only saw a couple this week: there was a Zac, but the women were Ameena and Kayleigh. Who is Lisa (or are you talking about a different series?)
