Damn kids can cook better than I can.

Thought it would be full of those pretentious stage-school types that populate the show here but luck, they are fairly normal. Weird having their families sitting watching them.

I saw this last night - I loved the dad who was so proud his daughter getting through he was in tears.

TwoIfBySea · 24/02/2011 19:27

There have been a few of them in tears, it is fun to watch.

I do like little Sam as he reminds me of dts2 although I won't try his prawns with chocolate sauce!

I haven't watched this type of program before and was Shock at some of the stuff those kids were cooking. Wish I could delegate cooking to my DC, lucky parents Envy.

DD finds this inspiring. She's been baking cheese straws and marshmallow rice krispie squares for her own 8th birthday tea.

BubblegumandIce · 27/02/2011 09:48

Have you seen that boy... Pierre?

I think he is my favourite. He knows how to cook a duxelles when even I didn't know WHAT a duxelles WAS until then.

Ahh yes... ever since she saw those kids cooking my Sophie decides she wants to enter for Junior Masterchef UK next year. I've been her little maid, clearing up after every mess. I'm frankly quite sick of it though.

megapixels · 27/02/2011 10:59

I like Pierre too. And yes I was intrigued by his mushroom duxelle and looked it up after the show.

Is it me or does it look like Isabella has already been picked as the winner? They're always showing her and her comments in the bits between the cooking. A lot more than any of the other children. I think she is fab too, well both sisters are.

All those children are very likable really. I even feel tearful when it looks like they're going to mess up Blush.

I'm absolutley loving this programme, I just wish there had been something like this around when I was younger. Fair play to them, all of them are fantantic
