Not today, it's Sunday. On Friday. The days are all merging together!

LongIslandIcedTea · 13/02/2011 12:49

Had to laugh when Sophie said to Kate about her policeman boyfriend 'But what does he see in you' or something similar. Trust me we are all thinking the same thing!

Kate is the most annoying for me, closely followed by Declan (i preferred the old Declan), hope she leaves very soon...

MigratingCoconuts · 13/02/2011 15:43

Yes, I have always wondered about the endless bedrooms the houses have but put it down to Aussie bigger building!

ohboob · 13/02/2011 17:32

ooh I hate Zeke. Used to love him but he seems to love himself very much now, and thinks he's uber cool. It makes my skin crawl. There's nothing wrong with him being himself and staying a geek.

Neighbours pees me right off, but I still love it. I wish it was on at weekends Grin

whatshallmynamebe · 13/02/2011 21:08

Just to add to the mysterious things about neighbours; Rebecca never wears trousers and Susan always does. I know that some people have a style that they stick with (although at least Rebecca has moved on from wrap dresses), but fgs surely she wants to throw on a pair of jeans once in a while. Sonia also seems to live in that waterfall cardigan and never goes to work.

Pancakeflipper · 13/02/2011 21:49

It's a tight clothing budget on the Neighbours set. One capsule wardrobe each and make it last 7 seasons. Except for Donna who is the reason the others have to share pants cos' she gets new clothes each hour.

What was that green shiny dress Kate trotted out the other week?

alemci · 13/02/2011 22:09

rebecca and her wrap dresses in high heels doing the laundry. bit overdressed IMO and showing too much cleavage. Mind u havent seen it for a few weeks.

whatshallmynamebe · 14/02/2011 10:33

I guess they spent most of the budget last year on the shrugaleros.

noeyedear · 14/02/2011 15:14

can't have much of a clothes budget if horrible nylon curtains wipe out the whole budget!Grin

MigratingCoconuts · 14/02/2011 18:19

Grin at whatshallmynamebe!

yama · 14/02/2011 21:06

Whaaaat?

I knew I shouldn't have stopped watching it for a few years. I've no idea how/when Calum came into it. Will ask my sis.

Thanks Cavemum.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 15/02/2011 00:38

Loved your list spongefingers - especially the point about Lynn looking after Summer and not her own son. Also, who pays for Donna's keep? Surely the Shrugaleros aren't doing that well. Glad your dd fine now.

Agree that Zeke has no meaning- but don't think he is a great actor. He has always been quite whiny and moany. Accent aside, I think the guy who plays Andrew is a good actor and along with Donna - whose timing is great - the best actors of the young bunch now that the real Declan has gone.

Kate is soooo annoying and has the worst dress sense ever. Every outfit screams out "Look how flat chested I am". There is no way the hot cop would look twice at her let alone give up a case for her.

I don't think that Paul has killed people but is more a sinister talk into mobile baddie who is probably capable of getting others to kill for him. Poor Paul - I think he genuninely tries to be good but can't stop himself from doing bad things.

TartyMcFarty · 15/02/2011 12:05

I really want to see some back episodes to see how the Sonia/Callum shocker checks out. I know it doesn't, but hey, I'd have fun in the process!

CuppaTeaJanice · 15/02/2011 12:27

Didn't Paul have something to do with the plane crash that killed Serena and her parents?

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 15/02/2011 12:40

I am a Neighbours fan too - but I haven't watched Friday's and Monday's episodes properly yet (ds2 had it on in the background, so I did know about the Sonia/Callum thing).

I just wanted to ask - did anyone else notice when Rebecca went to see Michael in the hospital, he had the obligatory monitor showing heartrate etc, and going 'bleep' regularly - but no actual monitoring devices connected to him at all!! How on earth was the monitor picking up his pulse oxygenation level and ECG without a clip on his finger and ecg pads on his chest? Truly Erinsborough Hospital is at the forefront of medical technology! Hmm

They also have a habit of having the sound of a ventilator going but the patient only has an oxygen mask on - if you are being ventilated, you will have a tube in your trachea - without that, the sound of the machine 'breathing' for the patient is plain daft.

Sorry - but I used to be an operating theatre nurse, and things like that bug me. Blush

eatmyfood · 15/02/2011 18:14

CuppaTeaJanice I think the bomb was intended to kill Paul - one of his many business enemies was responsible. Didn't Serena and Connor survive underwater in a tiny air pocket for all of about three episodes while they span that one out like a budget version of Titanic?

I love the way Paul's brain tumour (or was it a brain injury, can't remember) made him conveniently No Longer A Baddie for a short time, until the bowed to pressure and brought back Bad Paul.

SDTG come on now, you know Neighbours is full of medical miracles. Who can forget Daphne giving birth with her tights on - and I seem to remember when she was dying she had a tube up her nose which didn't lead anywhere Hmm. Add Lynne's PND/Susan's MS/Helen's stroke/Fraser's spinal injury - all medical problems last no longer than three or four episodes, tops. KK cures them all!

CaveMum · 15/02/2011 18:31

Don't forget that Lucas regained the ability to walk after only 2 or 3 rehab sessions and has never needed physio since.

Also, I'm convinced the writers are men going through a mid-life crisis: how many times has one of the middle aged males had an affair/relationship with a much younger, very attractive woman - Karl and Sarah, Lou and Annalise, etc.

eatmyfood · 15/02/2011 18:44

Oscar won't be back until the age of about 15, when he'll be able to take his top off, show off a rippling six-pack, and become involved in a complicated love triangle with another returning wanderer (maybe Sky's daughter/Lou's daughter/one of Paul's many many lovechildren). Until then he'll remain "in the country/Oakey" wherever that is, and will return to live in the Kennedy's ever-expanding hostel er bungalow.
