Want to discuss a neighbours spoiler

Read in Inside Soap the other day a spoiler for neighbours which will have ramefications for Toadie.

Sonya is apparently Callum's birth mother...

Discuss ....

I read this on the Neighbours website and was stunned!

Apparently the writers are having to do quite a lot of work to make this senario a real possibility.

What I don't understand is does Sonya realise who Callum is? If so why get involved with him and Toadie?

She was his teacher so surely she knows....

Wonder why they have taken this turn - ie she wasn't brought in with this in mind?

Poor casting if she was - they look nothing like each other!

Can anyone remember how Toadie and Sonya met?

And wasn't Callum's entrance a bit of a mess too? They wanted Toadie to adopt him originally but then obviously found things didn't work like that so he had to 'inherit' him from some random old lady. Seemed very wierd at the time.

She worked for the guide dog association (or Aussie equivalent ) and helped toadie and callum train their guide dog. Callum had previously lived with his grandmother, who was a friend of steph's and he was first in the show when steph babysat him.

I have paid far too much attention to this programme

But why did she move to Erinsborough? Did she know? So many questions!

In true Neighbours style it's all very strange!

Sonya's sister thinks Toadie and Callum have a right to know but Sonya is working hard at trying to get her to keep her mouth shirt.

So Sonya must have known she was Callums mother if her sister knows.

How does Sonya's sister know if they haven't spoken in several years?

I did wonder why she hid all photos of Callum and Toadie when her sister appeared.

I think the sister realises when she meets Callum and finds out he isn't Toadies bio son.

I think the pregnancy is the reason they haven't spoken .

Must check the website later to see if it has all come out yet.

im pretty sure i read inspide soap and i didnt read that at all!!! wow...thats a good plot twist..although im not sure how on earth theyre going to pull it off!

I expect nothing better from the tribute to realism that is 'Neighbours!'

I have seen a clip on youtube were Sonya is explaining to her sister how she came across callum

She saw his name down in the list of puppy carers and then volentered to be there trainer so she could see if it was him and she if he was OK.

But she then fell in love with Toadie, dont know if you can remeber but toadie was presuwing sonya for quite a while before she gave in and started dating him.

Now we know why

It's soooo exciting.
I mean, ridiculous because there have never been any scenes where she's staring at Callum with a silent tear rolling down her face and she's always been a bit indifferent to him and stuffs him full of chocolate milkshakes at Harolds, but exciting.

It just feels like they just created this now rather than having planned it from when Sonya appeared (although I may be wrong) and so it doesn't quite fit.

I can't WAIT for it all to kick off!

I think you are right! I doubt Sonya was originally supposed to be a regular character and now that she is, they have invented this back history!
