actually, i don't know if i will be able to bear the subject matter, i can imagine the sorts of people/zionists and it will make me feel really uncomfortable, i don't agree with alot of the attitude to ultra zionists

kurrikurri - ta, tbh as much as i would like to see it i think it will make me cringe as i have met heavy duty zionist types, they make me angry as they don't exactly help antisemetism or other israelis, i know lots of israelis who are really angry with those settlers, most of them are not from israel, alot of the US. i don't think they should be where they are either, i don't like watching things that make me angry, embarassed and that there ain't nothing i can do about it....but if it is on catch up i may watch it and fast forward the awful bits (there is that itv drama on at the same time that i have been really looking forward to!)

well there is pretty slim pickin's in mn for a reasoned discussion about this - and donnie's post pretty much sums this up;

people attempting to be reasonable waylayed by extremist opinion, i.e "mad racists and land grabbers".

I think we'd all agree - reasonably - that LT is extremist fodder with a middle class slant - defo more nicky campbell than whats-is-name oprah uk. Its like chosing between the Guardian and the Mail - both cynical extremes that exclude an essantial skeptical middle.

I did feel sorry for those kids of the settlers on the hill, while also feeling sorry for exactly the same reasons - of not more - for thr children on the opposing bank - the fate of which had nothing to do with the jewish settlers (who have just as much right to be there btw - by thousands of years - as the 'natives'. Jews are also native to Palestine.

I was absolutely disgusted, but not at all surprised by the attitudes of the 'Ultra Zionist's, who the hell do they think they are. What I find really outrageous is that here is a country that is in contravention of 65+ UN resolutions and the rest of the world just sits back and lets the genocide continue. The UK & US saw fit to march into Iraq which was nothing whatsoever to do with us, but yet we can't, no sorry, WON'T do anything to help the Palestinian people! As for the Israeli's 'Right to their homeland', well that's just the say so of an archaic book that was written two thousand years ago. You'd think that a race that reminds us of the holocaust at every given opportunity would show some basic human decency toward their fellow man, but then that wouldn't suit their objective now would it?!

i am not jewish,nor a zionist - in fact i would describe myself as an antizionist but i did feel it was biased again zionism. shocking programme though.

herhonesty - i feel the same as you, that is why didn't watch it, i knew it would be the way it was, predictable, even though i don't like zionists and disagree with them there is alot of good about israel that is rarely spoken of/made aware in the west

I will watch it later, I do like Louis and all his docs are about interesting matters. It probably will drive me mad if its one sided but Im keeping an open mind.

You have to seperate "Israel" from the Jewish Palestine issue.

The state of Israel and the Palestinians do nothing to help the situation, they will do this for another couple of thousand years or until the US gives up the ghost.

It was a half decent documentary though even though nothing new came about from it.

these is no reasonable side to these settlers - they are all nutters (agree most seem to come fro elsewhere - esp USA). Even most moderate Israelis can't stand them.
