Corrie - Fiz and the money (possible spoiler)

The soap woman on This Morning has suggested that Fiz takes the money. If she does go ahead and take it how will she get evidence that she is Mrs Fishwick? Surely they wouldn't just give it to her? I am assuming that John had a bank account in Fishwicks name in order to get paid as a teacher Hmm

Also, if she takes it how would she then get caught? I clearly need to get out more Blush

Exactly what I was wondering - I thought John had a bonfire of all the Fishwick stuff so presumably he closed his account. And it would surely flag as an unusual transaction so the bank would contact him if he did have the account, to check where it's from and to try to sell him savings products! they wouldn't be able to take that much out as cash, and any transfer would be easily traceable if the real Mrs Fishwick turned up. (John didn't bump off Colin's wife as well, did he?) And if they did get the cash out they'd have to move house without leaving a forwarding address. (Easy if they rent, I can't remember if Les/Cilla bought the place so there would have to be solicitors involved if they had to sell up)

I think too much about these things...

I used to like Fiz but she's really getting on my nerves now - that simpering look, that silly whispery voice - she's turning into Gail Mark II. And as for those teeny-tiny teeth ....

You're right there wasn't a mrs fishwick - I was thinking that he had had an affair but it was the other way round - he was seeing a married woman, not that he was cheating on anyone. Whole storyline is boring me though - I watch corrie on the sky plus when the kids are in bed, I fast forward over Fiz/john and most tines ken Barlow comes on screen.

The Peter Barlow one is getting on my nerves as well and, I fancy Peter but Im losing interest Sad

Fed up too, I agree that the storylines are a bit jaded right now, the WIndasses are the best bit. I'm not looking forward to the storyline about Tina's friend that's supposed to be coming up either. Also wish Claudia would clear off!

Could do with a more cheerful, Norris type storyline at the moment.

Claudia is awful - both she and Mark speak as if they're wearing dentures that don't fit.

I hate the Stape story line, I channel flick to avoid Tracy. Nick/Peter/Leanne has just got boring. Amy/Max and whether they stay with Steve/Becky is just too repetitive. Couldn't care less about Sophie's sulks.

Not looking good.

I think Gary Windass is amazing! Really glad they've given him a decent storyline.

I used to hate the Colin/John storyline but now I love it. It's so far fetched it's almost kitsch :o

Tracey and Dreadrie and Ken should have all died in the explosion.

I can't believe that anyone could ever fancy Peter! Yeuch!!! Or that twat wassisname, the other one that wassername, Peter's wife was seeing.

It is getting a bit annoying at the moment. But I thought if John was still in hospital she would need to show a marriage certificate? It really annoys me when they do totally ridiculous stories - but really I need to get a grip it is a TV show! Just don't get me started on the whole Andy/fire/Emmerdale storyline - how long will the drag that one out for!

Pawsnclaws - yes her teeth are very tiny!

The solicitor took pity on her, and did mention he shouldn't be advancing the funds like that (not least, she isn't the legatee!). She's to get the £8k cash savings, issues like the sale of the house have to wait for "Colin's" recovery.

The solicitor took pity because his own child had also been premature; his DD had died, so he wanted to help another parent going through it.

The solicitor was also a personal friend of Colin's father. So it'll all go wrong then.

I hate the new Fiz, and it really irks me that they took a character who previously had a moral compass, and removed it in such implausible circumstances with such weak reasoning.

I also FF over the Tracy bits. I can't understand why they brought her back, she isn't exactly a popular character. I know they need some baddies but they could do with some new blood. I stopped watching for ages and only came back because of the tram crash and to switch from EE, if there is loads of Tracy I may stop again.

hopefully Tracey goes back to prison soon.

I can't believe the Windasses got approved for adoption either, but, and I can hardly believe I am saying this, they are the best thing in it at the moment.

I think Fiz was lost for me when she married John, that scene where she tied herself to the prison gates was the end of her credibility as a character, she had another get out last year when she left him, but no, back she goes

The conviction was quashed though wasn't it so she won't be going back, which is a great pity.

When I've seen TV pundits talk about Corrie they always bang on about how nice the actress that plays Tracy is in RL, like that makes her a successful character Hmm

Owen is nasty, nasty. How about Julie and that new friend of Audrey's, he must be far too young for Audrey, it only seems like 5 mins since he was a teenager in Butterflies.

Tracey had conviction quashed (as reported in at the Rovers - no court rom scenes).

BUT ISN'T THAT ALL WRONG!!!!

When she was convicted, her defence was not that she did not hit him (indeed I thought she had admitted she hit him!). Her defence was the fake DV. So how can she be cleared by discredited forensics, when he forensics surely became irrelevant as she didn't dispute hitting him!

Just mag to grid!!!!!!!

The conviction was thrown out - something about dodgy forensics. I hate it when they do this in soaps, like when Phil Mitchell was caught doing an armed robbery but still managed to get out in 5 mins. I think that guy from Butterflies is meant to fancy Audrey Shock
