Oh where to begin?
Has anyone ever been a worse booking on any tv show panel ever in the history of the medium?
Out of her league in every single respect.

Just awful.
Like watching someone drowning and making no effort to save them because they sort of deserve to drown?
Not a nice feeling for the viewer.
Terrible booking, I almost felt sorry for her then I pulled myself together.

I was staring open mouthed at the TV, she is just appalling. One of the most unlikeable people I've seen in a long time. She was completely out of her league, she can't make any kind of coherent argument, but then her views are such a load of dreadful right wing bollocks there really are no arguments in favour of them.

Worse thing about her was she made Edwina Currie look vaguely sensible. Shock

Vintagepommery · 28/01/2011 19:10

Yes, awful - so cringeworthy. I think she thinks she's a cross between Mrs. T and Princess Diana.

They've had her on before so they must think she's 'good' on some level. Didn't feel sorry for her - she obviously completely believes in herself.

every time someone else started talking on the panal she did this strange look where she hung her head down at looked up at em. like she was trying to give em them a disapproving look or something to make em shut up, it was very odd.

CarlaBruni · 28/01/2011 19:48

I think she thinks that look is coquettish or sexy

madamimadam · 28/01/2011 19:55

Nick Griffin is still QT's lowest point for me. Even though he was roundly whipped, I still thought it marked the end of days...

But I think the QT producers enjoy putting 'wild card' guests on (Do you remember the dreadful editor from Smash Hits who used to go on? It was like watching a kitten being drowned before your eyes)

gingercat12 · 28/01/2011 19:58

I'll have to watch it on iplayer.

Ryoko · 28/01/2011 20:24

Nick Griffin did an admirable job on a stupid program IMO.

they knew getting him on would result in nothing but shouting from the crowd and constant hijacking of the agenda to BNP issues, but he tried to play the show straight despite the crowd having no interest in anything that was currently in the political news and just wanting to bitch about his parties policies.

And there was me thinking that Unity Mitford had shuffled off this mortal coil...

maggiethecat · 28/01/2011 20:58

It was abysmal; could not believe that someone would utter such rubbish and with such aplomb.

Ryoko · 28/01/2011 21:11

Why fall off chair?, point of question time is to talks about current issues in the news if the audience wanted to attack the BNP they should have done it on another show, it's not like the BNP don't appear on proper party debate shows.

I don't tune into Question Time to hear the same crap you get on other debate shows, I only watch it when something has happened in the news I want to hear them comment on, like cuts and things.

kittya · 28/01/2011 21:52

I saw that it was on but never watched it and, usually I like it when they have someone non political on but, this was just scraping the barrel.

franke · 28/01/2011 21:59

Why was she invited on? Okay she had a shot at the European parliament but she only got about 17 votes. She's ghastly.

With regard to Nick Griffin, I kind of agree that I wish it hadn't been such a circus when he was on. If he had actually had to answer the kind of current affairs questions that are normally put to the panel, he would have shown himself and his party up to be the utter idiots that they actually are, devoid of any workable policies and lacking the calibre required to run country.

Ryoko · 29/01/2011 14:24

"party up to be the utter idiots that they actually are, devoid of any workable policies and lacking the calibre required to run country."

Doesn't that apply to all of em?
