When is new series Mentalist back on?

The new series sort of started then was replaced by the old series. I don't understand all this scheduling. I HATE it when they start a series then without warning stop half way through

Oh I know it's not on Sky by the way, they just did the same with Bones. Grrr.

I, sad person that I am, have been on the channel 5 website to see what's happening. Among all the comments at the bottom there's one by a channel 5 person who says it'll be back 'some time in the New Year'.

It's now nearly Feb. That's well past NY.

I have considered watching it online instead. But have managed to resist so far.

I wondered what had happened on c5 I thought I had dejavu for the last few weeks.

I don' remember all these breaks in previous years Desparate Housewivez and Gossip Girl have also been off for weeks.

I caught the new episodes - just! All up to date now :)

It's cos there is a season break over Christmas in America - Buffy was the same. So they make the first half or whatever, then there is a break (presumably in America this is full of Christmas tat) then they make the rest of the season's epi's. With 22 episodes a season, I reckon they need that break :)

Like last night's epi - I don't think the old Patick would have gone so far with manipulation, do you lot?
