Just come on to see if anyone else was asking the same thing!

lostinwales · 22/01/2011 21:44

At the end as well why did she not take her daughter with her? Surely you couldn't leave her in the house with that knob?

giraffesCantDirtyDance · 22/01/2011 22:03

I thougt that too.

Phew, I wasn't the only person watching then? Sadly the whole Dr gone off didn't seem so OTT, having worked in the NHS for 20 years, the stress of being the best can make some of them have real mental health problems (although none of the ones I knew tried to do brain surgery in an on call bedroom, thank god, those rooms were squalid enough as it was)

anniebear · 23/01/2011 11:37

found it an upsetting episode

how good is the actress playing Ruth ?

does she leave do you know? How can she go back to being a Dr, again!,

giraffesCantDirtyDance · 23/01/2011 15:29

She tried to hang herself before and was saved by other drs, so she may come back from this too!

It felt like I had missed an episode.

Poor Ruth :(

giveitago · 23/01/2011 20:21

Oooh I thought that the jay and ruth thing would start up again but if she's been sectioned then I guess she's out of it?

Got to say - thought it mighty odd that she received a letter about her own sectioning (that was the letter that jay pulled out of her pocket wasn't it).

But is suppose it IS tv.

NatalieJane · 23/01/2011 20:23

I thought the letter was divorce proceedings?

Also thought it a bit odd she didn't take her daughter.

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 23/01/2011 20:43

I wanted Ruth and Jay to get back together Sad

Yes, there is no way I would have left my DC with that psycho... I hope the spoilers I read about her aren't true. Love a happy ending me!

ktwiltshire · 23/01/2011 20:51

The letter ruth had which she thought said help me was the letter about her divorce, jay say a letter in the hands of someone taking ruth away that was sectioning papers.

aparently this is ruth finally having a manic episode and is going to be diagnosed as bipolar (having had a previous depressive episode), she probably was on antidepressants and went off them, and now having a manic episode, then again antidepressants arent usually prescribed for someone who is bipolar, only if they are in a bad depressive episode.

with regards to kirsty i was hugely wondering what she did with her daughter, she probably didnt leave her in the house, like next episode we will find out that she sent her to a friends of something else convinient like that!!

giraffesCantDirtyDance · 24/01/2011 00:44

Poor Ruth, I think its been done very well, you can sort of understand her and her history due to way we have learned of her father issues etc in past. I dip in and out of it am not a regular watcher.

Will be watching next week though! I like the normal weeks, I hate the inevitable HUGE explosion/massive crash weeks. I also hate the fort 15 min where you know something awful is about to happen and you cant stop it, I am fine when they are getting help, just the anticipation I cant deal with - for this reason I am crap with horror films too!!

Ruth was in melt down. She saw/heard people asking for help, Letter saying 'Help Me' was actually her divorce papers advising her of a 'help line.'......I think.

giveitago · 24/01/2011 14:20

OOooh - re ruth and the letter - of course it's ntt sectioning papers - I only ever have one eye ont he programme hoping ruth and jay get it on again.

But kirsty - also agree - didn't really get her leaving her daughter behind in the dv situation. Is that very realistic - I doubt it.

'Medical drama series. After her last beating, Kirsty decides that enough is enough, and it is time to leave. But will she be able to get out of Holby without Warren and the gang finding out?'

Gang? What gang - I find this programme very hard to follow these days.

anniebear · 25/01/2011 11:39

is the 'gang' her collegues?
