Gary Windass for a soap award imo

Was anyone else impressed by the way he has been doing the recent storyline? I thought he did the meeting with Quinny's parents exceptionally well.

BUT - if, as it seems at the moment, he's all okay now, I will be a bit disappointed with the writing, as it is incredibly unlikely that one day you wake up and you get over such a major traumatic event. I hope there is more to come!

I've never been a fan of his, but tonight when he got dragged into the police van I really felt for him, and thought the actor was really good. I think he's improved a lot with this storyline.

I agree mammamia, I was always a bit 'so what' about him till this storyline, but I have a theory! Until now the character has always been brash and not really someone you can empathise with, but now we are getting to see past the facade that he has built up, and see vulnerability. I think he's played it really well. And the police van scene was great too.
