DH and I have just been re-watching Firefly on DVD and must say I'm more addicted than ever before. So who else out there adores Serenity's crew.

Me (hence my name!) and dp are rather addicted.

Favourite episode is Out of Gas (think that's the title), love the way Jayne joined.

An awesome show to bad it was cancelled damn fox.

Oh yes - we have this on DVD and have watched several times. We also have the film that rounds things off.

Such a shame this show was cancelled.

I love the episode "The Man They Call Jayne" - so funny.

Josh Whedon has such crappy luck with his wonderful shows.

My OH told me that I smiled all the way through the film Serenity. I was in heaven.

my Favourite episodes Out of Gas, Jaynestown, Objects in space... nevermind every episode is my favourite... and I cry every time I watch the movie Serenity. its one of the few shows I quote ..a lot.

I love firefly! Such a shame it was cut short, I'd love to know what joss planned fully for the cast :(

i loved buffy and missed firefly first time round... then caught serenity and thought it was ace (well it's Joss Whedon!!!!) and bought the dvd firefly box set... yet i'm ashamed to say i haven't got round to sitting down and watching it yet!

Firefly has been on my wish list since I saw Serenity, finally got it this Xmas. About four episodes in, really enjoying it.
Think DH has been won over despite his initial 'So this is one of your science fiction things, is it?' reaction.

me! i watched the whole season on dvd one weekend while i was ill and i cannot tell you how pissed off i was to find out it was cancelled!

but they do this to all my bloody fave shows...

dollhouse got the axe...(another wheadon creation and it was bloody brilliant...axed!)

I had only watched a few episodes when it was first on tv in the states then moved here and forgot about it till Serenity came out and I dragged my DH to see it with me and he asked what it was.. and I said it was 'frontier/cowboys in space' which he wasn't impressed by but I said it was Joss Whedon and as he was a big Buffy fan that got us into the cinema and he loved it.

Firefly keeps popping up on the Horror channel so we watched it months ago but mist the first few episodes and when it was in the sales I said we HAVE to have it. and DH grumbled but I got it and he loved every minute of watching it. I must admit I was grinning away like and idiot watching it.

Didn't catch Firefly when it first was on, dragged dp to see Serenity based on the trailer. Its a shame it doesn't look like there will be a sequel, looking forward to seeing Joss Whedon's next film though.

DH and I love Firefly, it's fab! Not sure what my favourite episode is, I love them all. Serenity is one of my favourite sci-fi movies.

Loved Dollhouse as well, can't believe they axe all his stuff :(

Firefly anecdote of the day: Fringe's next episode is called The Firefly in honour of our beloved show as it has also been bumped to the Friday night 'slot of death' (crappy scheduling being the reason Firefly haemorrhaged viewers in the US leading to its premature cancellation)

got season one box set half way through watching season 2! watched them back to back! absolutely love it.

I love this show. DH bought the box set. The only thing was, that as I knew it had been cancelled, I spent the whole time watching thinking, "this is great but there is no more to look forward to" .

On the final disc of Season 1 of Fringe now, and I am enjoying that more than I thought I would. Walter is one of the best characters around. I just don't buy the supposed sexual tension between Peter and Olivia though.

I have not watched Firefly but am interested because I have been following a couple of blogs, one of which is markwatches.net
You may find it interesting as he is watching Firefly. There are opportunities to comment but do NOT spoil him.

I think the first few episodes aren't great to get into but... It got so good!! So many fantastic episodes.

We are well known for singing jayyyyne the man they call jayyyyne to babies in this house.

Firefly is excellent, I couldn't believe it when it was cut. As someone else pointed out they did the same with Eli Stone which was another brilliant one.

'Jayne' is in Chuck, playing quite a similar gun-loving character if anyone is interested.

Did anyone see the episode of Castle when they were dressing up for halloween? Castle came out wearing his outfit from Firefly and his daughter asked what he was supposed to be. He said "space cowboy" which was a great little in-joke for us deprived fans.
