was it the one that was hypothetical with real doctors lawyers ? a white couple who had an ivf black baby ?

yes i did agree with the outcome only black parents can give their child as sense of their own culture - what did you think ?

i agree, especially given the attitude of the white father's parents towards the baby. But, what would they have done if all of the parents were white? Did it really just come down to the colour of the baby's skin? It all just got me thinking so I figured a discussion on here might help get things straight iyswim

no i think it would of have to come out even if both sets of parents were white - its morally wrong to keep a baby if its not genetically theirs

After all they didn't deliberately implant the wrong baby deliberately - the wrong baby was implanted into them. Had the mistake happened between two white couples, and not become apparent for years to come would people still be saying it was their moral obligation to give the baby back?

I can't imagine the heartache of going through infertility, being successful having ivf treatment only to be told that the baby isn't yours and you have to give it to someone else as soon as it's born.

I don't think this couple should have had any obligations tbh. They hadn't done anything wrong.

its all so difficult to say what you would do in the same situation.
