Anyone seen the advert for this on sky starting feb 1st ..

Its a new channel says home to HBO

I have very high hopes for this as HBO is the King of American TV in my eyes..

I really hope they show the following HBO series

Band of Brothers
The Wire
True Blood
Sopranos
The pacific
Generation Kill

I'm sure I'm leaving some out as well anyone know anything more about this??

I heard Boardwalk Empire is going to be their first big new series. Been dying to see it. It's had great reviews and Scorsese directed it so I reckon it could be another HBO classic.

Really hoping to see Treme very soon too. Another David Simon creation so sure to be good.

The list you gave is basically a list of my favourite TV series ever. To add to it though, wouldn't mind seeing Six Feet Under and Deadwood again. Oooh, and I love Entourage, hope they have the new series of that too!

oh yeah i love six feet under, never saw deadwood, would be brill. its got to be a UK version of, not a straight copy of HBO

Is Treme the one about Katrina?

DH has heard great things about Boardwalk Empire so fingers crossed it will be shown

The trailers for the channel all show Boardwalk Empire. Can't wait to see Omar from The Wire in a different role.

I work for Sky and we haven't heard too much about it other than Boardwalk Empire which seems to be the next big thing. I think it has been nominated for Golden Globe/s.

HBO series are fantastic though. After the criticism over showing The Pacific on SkyMovies last year this was the answer.
