Where have my shows gone?! The Event, Desparate Housewives and The Mentalist?!

Did they finish their season?!
Does anyone know?!

Mid season breaks I think for the first two. Should be back soon.

The Mentalist has just started back in the US (last Thursday night actually) so depending on how far behind the UK is showing it, that's when it'll start back here.

The Event is having a longer mid season hiatus, and will be 'relaunching' on 28/2 in the US, so will follow on (I hope) a week or two after that here.

I don't watch Desperate Housewives, so have no idea where the UK is. It's still showing S7 in the US if that helps, no breaks or hiatus's (is that a word?)

If you're with Sky, they do a service where you can register shows you're interested in and they'll email you when they start. No idea how good it is, I'm just trying it out for the first time now.

Glad you've asked too- I suddenly realised I was missing my Desperate Housewives fix.

The Mentalist was on, on Friday night again. Only found that by chance! Not found any of the others though.

roundtable The Mentalist currently showing on Fridays is Season 1 though - not the Season 3 that I presume the OP is asking about. They are all on hiatus in the US at the moment (I am pining for Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries myself as well as The Mentalist) and the UK websites just say they will be back 'later in the new year'.

Vampire Diaries is back in the US on 27/1. Gossip Girl (S4?) is back on the 24th. UK air dates are annoying and illogical. I hate waiting for the ones I bother waiting for.

Oh, my sky+ says new series and it was one I'd never seen before, but my sky box has been known to play up! That's annoying.

Doea anyone know what happened in the last episode of The Event. I t forgot to watch it during the xmas period and never saw any conclusion to the story.
