I've deleted cbbc off the set top box because everytime ds1 watches it, he seems to turn into some kind of crazy loon

He does have adhd and certain things make him worse. Tracey Beaker is the ultimate worst thing for him, that was banned a few years ago.

Is it reasonable to deprive a 12 year old of childrens viewing? He's intelligent and interested in all kinds of stuff, so he could watch other channels.

We don't have any other kids channels on our tv apart from cbeebies.

I love it. Bear Behaving Badly is my absolute favourite tv programme at the moment, I think Nev is just the non-evil version of me but in incredibly cute packaging (so nothing like me at all really).

The dc seem to have skipped CBBC. They went from Cbeebeies to Nick jUNIOR & plAYHOUSE dISNEY AND NOW SEEM TO HAVE GRADUATED TO cARTOON nETWORK and Disney cYHANNEL (argh!)

We enjoy CBBC, especially the comedy, Chuckle Brothers and Bear Behaving Badly. Also Horrible Histories, although I have to get my 5yo to do something else when it's on, don't want her to see anything too gory.

My ds doesn't like Tracy Beaker, but I can understand you stopping that one.

How is he with Deadly 6o/Roar? I think they're educational.

Cbbc is synonymous with Tracy farkin Beaker is it not..she is everywhere and I am sick of her.

12 is a bit old for Tracy Beaker anywya .

Horrible Histories is fantastic imo
and deadly 60

Yes, i love horrible histories, deadly 60 and sorry I've got no head (partially because i love Marcus brigstock). Would much rather the dcs watch cbbc than citv, much better programmes.

DD is not allowed Tracey Beaker, but watches the rest, and I enjoy some of it too.
Horrible Histories, Blue Peter, Deadly 60, Gastronuts, Blast Lab.

Sorry I've Got No Head was great, and so was Stupid - will it ever come back on? I loved the man who had tantrums because he wasn't allowed a copy of the FT and then got sent to bed before Newsnight.

Oh and the only reason I don't allow TB is because going into care may be a reality for her, due to my ill health and she seemed to think it would be fun.
