young eric and ernie

did anyone else watch this last night. with victoria wood as the mother.

it was so good. i was not a big morecombe and wise fan but the man who played eric morecombe had him spot on.

I watched this last night, and loved it

I've also just seen the programme following it about the making of the programme and enjoyed all the old Eric and Ernie sketches. I'd forgotton about the breakfast making to the striptease song!

Great acting-I loved the way you could see the catchphrases etc develop-anyone see them sitting up in bed in their digs!?

i was pointing this out - my dc's tried to appear interested

purepurple me and dh were arguing about whether or not it could have been St Annes- (we lived there for 4 years, now in B'pool -shhh- but intend to move back asap!) and I was right! I said I knew the bars on that pier! I thought the whole thing was luverly-only criticism is it wasn't long enough!

Thought it was really good as well.

Best thing on tv all bloody Christmas! (Apart from possibly Toast but I've not watched it yet!)

actually it was better than toast. happier for a start

I enjoyed Toast but thought this was much much better-loved it.
