Love the one...speed 3? With the milkman and the hairy babies. Mrs Doyle going all gaga over him. He wants to put his massive tool in my box!! You wouldn't be advocating birth control would you father??? Ha ha ha ha ha!!

mozette · 01/01/2011 21:16

Hoping the Eurovision one wins the Fan's choice - I've already snorted tea through my nose at several of the clips

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:16

I'm watching.

I think the viewer's choice will be 'A Song for Europe'.

I liked that episode, but I really don't think it was one of the best, however it seems to be the most well known of all the episodes.

TwoIfBySea · 01/01/2011 21:21

Oh come on Rock, how could you not love "My Lovely Horse"! :)

I'm watching Eric and Ernie at the moment so have this to enjoy later.

I always adored Mrs Doyle trying to step down from cleaning the windows while not wanting anyone to see her knees. And who can forget Hitler!

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:25

I enjoyed it,but there have been better episodes imho.

Hitler Ted was a real classic I agree.Grin

EddiesTeddy · 01/01/2011 21:26

NOOOOOOO the one with the rabbits was the best ever!
"Hairy Japanese Bastards!"

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:28

If the viewer's choice isn't A Song For Europe,then I think it'll be Speed 3.

LittlebearH · 01/01/2011 21:31

I am with you LetThereBeRock.

Just play the feckin tune!!!!

What was the one where FT says to Dougal something like, You remember Sister Assumta Dougal...various things mentioned...then he says, You were wearing your blue jumper...and Dougal says oh yes!!!

Sorry if getting these quotes slightly wrong, haven't watched it for about 6 yrs!!

mumatron · 01/01/2011 21:32

i dont care which one wins, i love them all.

MrsThisIsTheCadillacOfNailguns · 01/01/2011 21:33

Oh 'My lovely horse'.The dds were playing name that tune on the keyboard last night and the terribleness was only lightened by dh guessing 'my lovely horse'.

I like Speed and the one with Graham Norton in the caravan.

i miss father ted :(

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:35

Speed 3 it is.

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:38

I love them all too,but my favourites are the one with the caravan,'The Mainland',The Christmas episode, and the episode with the Daniel O'Donnell parody.

mumatron · 01/01/2011 21:40

love love love the caravan one.

'the cows out there are far far away.....'

classic

MrsThisIsTheCadillacOfNailguns · 01/01/2011 21:41

snort at the hairy babies.Grin

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:49

'Those women were in the nip!'

LittlebearH · 01/01/2011 21:52

The one with Richard Wilson...You know what would be really funny Dougal...if we went up to him and said I DONT BELEIVE IT!

LetThereBeRock · 01/01/2011 21:56

That, the Richard Wilson thing, was from 'The Mainland'. One of the best ever episodes.

I love the mobile mass in this.Grin

MrsThisIsTheCadillacOfNailguns · 01/01/2011 22:45

I've realized that it was filmed in the area of County Clare that my family came from.Dh and I are discussing going on a 'pilgrimage' and kill two birds with one stone.

beachholiday · 01/01/2011 22:54

You should come for TedFest then MrsThis

MrsThisIsTheCadillacOfNailguns · 01/01/2011 23:19

I'm awful tempted there, beachholiday. It is a shame that the dds are too little to fully appreciate Father Ted.But we could drag them along anyway. It'd be cultural.

FunnyLittleFrog · 01/01/2011 23:23

Graham Norton was great as Father Noel Furlong, especially when doing his version of Bohemian Rhapsody from under a pile of rocks.

coodles · 01/01/2011 23:33

I'm really enjoying this, what a brilliant series it was.

Just wondering if anyone has ever gone to the Tedfest?

womma · 03/01/2011 14:06

It's in Ireland in February...hope it's indoors

beachholiday · 03/01/2011 17:28

I think there are two competing ones, one based around where the Shipwreck is and one based on the island which claims to be Craggy Island.
