I wonder if Jackson is going to remain paralysed throughout his time on Emmerdale or will he make an unrealistic dramatic recovery? Any ideas?

I was wondering this myself. I think they might be gearing up to an assisted suicide storyline.

They already did an assisted suicide story a few years ago with Sam's wife and Eli provided the medication to do it and Cain took the rap for it.
It would be odd if they tried that one again. I think the miraculous recovery might be where this one goes.

I don't think it'll be a recovery. I think it'll be a suicide. Jackson has asked for a camcorder for no good reason. I think he's doing a farewell tape.

It's a tad unimaginitive to re-use a storyline like that.

I was hoping they'd be fairly realistic (as in no magical recovery) but that Jackson would continue to be in the show for a long time to come. Couldn't they just have a disabled character? I love the dynamic between Jackson, Aaron, Hazel and Paddy. I'd be sorry to see Jackson go.

No, i think the producers have said hes in it for the long haul and he will stay paralysed and not be up and about a week after it happened (a la Jack in Eastenders!).

Well, good, cos I love him and Aaron. Sad though.

Emmerdale are pretty good at doing the 'long haul' as opposed to Eastenders.... thinking along the lines of Chris Tate.
