It is one of mg favourite comedies. I love Margot.

yh good programme she was fab

On Christmas Eve i thought the TV was crap so I put on one of my Good Life DVDs and we watched the Christmas Special "Silly but fun". Just as funny now as it was 35 years ago.

Funny really how some things age better than others. On Christmas eve we also watched (because the PILs were with us and wanted this) the Two Ronnies Christmas Special from 1980-something. It was shite! But the Good Life which was at least 10 years older had stood the test of time much better.

margot is fantastic character, i like the one where she goes for pottery lessons and gets jerry to build her a studio

I agree, it is timeless perfection! brilliant writing and fantastic cast.

The writing is flawless without appearing to be hard work or over clever.
