Did anyone else watch this dreadful programme. It was like some horrific throw back to a 1970's sitcom, really unfunny and very offensive.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 26/12/2010 09:54

thought it looked pants and turned off right at start

FunnyLittleFrog · 26/12/2010 09:59

Saw the article about it in the Radio Times and couldn't believe that it was real. Cultural stereotypes abound!

Walliams and Lucas are completely unfunny and in my view also offensive but they seem to be lauded as some kind of kings of comedy.

ProfYaffle · 26/12/2010 09:59

It was dreadful.

Balthasar · 26/12/2010 10:03

awful, jokes signposted a million miles away. It also reminded me how much they hate women.

grumpypants · 26/12/2010 10:04

It was so unfunny it hurt

ProfYaffle · 26/12/2010 10:06

Balthasar - I said to dh "they don't like women much, do they?"

FunnyLittleFrog · 26/12/2010 10:15

They must have friends in high places at the BBC - there is no other explanation for their continued presence on primetime TV.

Oblomov · 26/12/2010 10:33

Disappointing.
Thought it was O.K.
Just.

Thought all the tv last night was rubbish. One Ronnie, Dr Who, Strictly, Fly with Me.
All VERY VERY disappointing.

Christmas Day TV was CRAPOLA. Has it ben this bad before ? probably, every year. But every year I am disappointed.

Numberfour · 26/12/2010 13:34

Those two are horrendous. I must confess to having loved the first series of Little Britain, but then things really spiralled into a cesspit. They so obviously detest women and are just plain Not Funny. I could not bring myself to watch any of their new show at all. I really fucks me off that people like that make millions.

Butkin · 26/12/2010 19:31

From the adverts for it I was tempted but thought it was simply dreadful. So predictable and old fashioned.

Actually thought most of TV was poor but did stumble across a wonderful edition of QI on one of the Sky Channel's which was effortlessly brilliant.

2muchtodo2littletime · 26/12/2010 20:23

My dh moaned that I had no sense of humour when I said it was dreadful, racist etc. Am showing him this cos I knew I was right Wink. Wasted 20mins of my life watching this crap!

gregssausageroll · 27/12/2010 17:59

I actually think it is quite funny! I despise Little Britain though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/12/2010 18:26

really disappointed :(

the few secs of clips shown were funny, but rest complete shit

SilkStalkings · 27/12/2010 18:37

Have to say that the Japanese schoolgirls' Martin Clunes had me in tears of laughter. What was racist?Confused

5Foot5 · 27/12/2010 19:49

gregssausageroll I agree. I was never a fan of Little Britain but I did laugh at this programme.

pinkteddy · 28/12/2010 12:14

It was the Japanese school girls that really had me cringing tbh.

Mummy2Bookie · 28/12/2010 13:48

Dp and I thought it was rubbish. Not funny at all.

jalopy · 28/12/2010 16:15

I thought it was quite funny.

christmaseve · 28/12/2010 16:24

I watched it but thought it was disappointing, expected it to be good.

mrstimlovejoy · 28/12/2010 17:44

didn't watch it
can't bear either of them tbh

sparkle1977 · 28/12/2010 20:46

Strange, I actually thought parts of it were very funny, albeit sexist/racist. I was not a fan at all of Little Britain but quite liked this.

Liv77 · 28/12/2010 22:43

I enjoyed it, especially the airline Flylo, probably because I live on a small island dependant on airlinks and of the 3 airlines that operate here the "low cost" Airline nearly always works out the most expensive option. Xmas Hmm

whatkungfuthat · 29/12/2010 09:46

DP reckons the Moses character was a direct pisstake of a real guy on the old BBC documentary. Same job and looked identical apparently?
