It was great! Missed bits in the middle so will watch it on iplayer later. I love shows like that!

I didn't understand a word but loved it - their passion about theories and numbers and symbols - amazing!

Loved it. Incredibly moving.

I heard about the proof for Fermat's last theorem when I was as OU Summer School about 13 years ago I think. So this program really filled in the blanks for me. Can't say I understood most of it though, LOL.

missed it. Any idea what it was called, so that I can try and find it on iplayer?

southeastastra · 17/12/2010 18:49

it was horizon - Fermat's Last Theorem

There is a fabulous book about it that goes through step by step. I read it in my last year of secondary. Amazing!

It starts with a metronome in a dark room?

southeastastra · 17/12/2010 20:03

i imagine it was the 96 version as bbcfour are doing a science week and showing one or two old docs

yes just checked it, it is the old one 1997 about Andrew Wiles. I have seen it before. It is very good.

Ooh fun! Will check it out. Hope it stays on iplayer for a while as DH is in hospital and would love it. Got him the Simon Singh book a few years back. I'm actually the more geeky mathsy one though :)
