Did anyone see it? 50 stone that poor guy weighs! I thought it was
gross - some of the inside body stuff!
really interesting and informative - medically
presented in a snide and insulting way - kind of taking the pss out of him
portrayed the guy as a thick greedy oaf - thus perpetuating the fat = thick b
stard steriotype! really sad

The guy also annoyed me with his 'Im trying really hard' crap, while eating 17 days worth of food in one sitting, then drinking 20 pints of lager!

AND what were his mate and girlfriend thinking by helping him? Cook fatty meals, drive him around to find food, carry a special chair - if they didn't try to help him, he wouldn't be able to get about to eat like that! They are not helping him. Helping him would be saying I am not going to cook you anything except healthy low fat meals. I am not going to carry round your re-enforced chair so you can go eat 3 supersized fry ups at the local greasy spoon! If you are going to kill yourself, you'll have no help from me!

I am a super-fatty myself, btw, so I'm allowed to be critical!!!!

I didn't see it but I saw him briefly on R & J yesterday. I wondered how on earth he could afford to eat that much and drink up to 40 pints a night. I doubt he's able to work. He must have rich friends/relatives. Apparently he's lost 15 stone already, good luck to him.

I saw it yesterday and thought... I love my food, and am not the slimmest nor is dh but... the 'how can he afford all this' did cross our minds. Was a good show to watch though as I didn't feel like my usual evening chocolate bar afterwards!

Had to snigger at the 'trying really hard' crap too... if he'd start by substituting normal fizzy drinks with the diet versions he'd loose a couple of stone straight away!

I am aware that there are probably people who have an disorder that makes them eat or rather leads to them never feeling full, but even the 'star' of the show said in the end 'don't do to yourself what I've done' which for me was an indication that it was self-inflicted for lack of a better word.

Didn't think it protrayed fat = thick sterotype. I think that show had to be done on a sarcastic wave as otherwise it would have been too sad!
