So, will HerrBag The Brand be exposed as the dullard he surely is? Or will his field full of ponies harness him to the stars? Or something.

Roll up, roll up, I know you're watching...

no no no ceebee patience dahlink patience. Not long to go now Grin

I wish I didn't know, spoilt the programme for me.

ceebeegeebies · 09/12/2010 21:34

Spoilsport Grin I won't tell anyone and I promise it won't spoil the programme for me!!

TinselinaBumSquash · 09/12/2010 21:39

I want Stella to win she is the best out of the lot, i have been backing her since the start. I don't like Jo she is incredably agressive and does the whole 'i will be louder until someone pays attention to me thing'

MollieO · 09/12/2010 21:43

From what I've googled it appears that it is Jo and Chris in the final. On that basis I reckon that Jo wins.

carriedafirework · 09/12/2010 23:54

i was really imprssesed with stella intil i heard her talking about her dh, she seemed quite dissmissive and slightly piss taking about him,
if shes been working in investment banking which would be LONG hours he must have been looking after the children, i didn;t like the way she spoke about him just saying well of course what he does helps butif he didnt we'd find a way.
and laughing that people call him mummy.
not really valuing his contribution properly or showing love and respect for him
she could have said what a great father he is and how they work as a team, and after herchildhood you would have thought she would really understand the value of him really
being there for the children

then it went on to jamie who spoke so warmly and fondly about his wife.
and it made stella seem unloving about her dh imo.

anyway jamieor chris to win

i do like jo, but shes been to shouty and agressive overall to win, but she'll go on to do well in life.

and stuart, no comment!

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 10/12/2010 00:06

I sort of like Stella but does come across as a bit fo a cold fish.
Love Jamie
Hate Jo, shes a bully imo
Chris has the most dull voice ever
and stuart!! OMG how is he still there, the boys an idiot

PotPourri · 10/12/2010 00:18

Carried, I agree. Would not have been ok if it had been a man saying all that about his wife.

I think Jo will win, Jo or stella

Whatever happened to previous winners~? Wish they would put on a programme about what happened next to them. Surely there are some drop outs from that - he must have got it wrong sometime

Summerbird73 · 10/12/2010 08:25

thebrownstuff you are a tv legend! Wink Grin but dont tell though because i want to watch and shout at telly for the next couple of weeks!

yep i thought the same about Stella - i have backed her from the start but she was such a cow about her DH, notice they didnt even interview him either which was a shame.

i was drinking wine during the episode so was a bit squiffy by the time it got to baggsy! he is still a cock

BitOfFun · 10/12/2010 08:35

I didn't think she sounded rude about her husband at all actually. I think she was acknowledging that he gets a hard time from others for taking on a non-traditional caring role, and appreciates that she couldn't do it all without him. As for 'cold fish'- I prefer 'cool customer' Xmas Grin

Team Stella

Agree with BoF I like Stella and didn't feel she was downing her husband. Feel Jo's good but always keeping the lid on her temper and Chris is obviously bright but doesn't do it for me. Jamie's just your average blokey bloke. Baggsy is a complete prat and is maybe still there for good telly but I have to say he has a spark and maybe L'Sugar feels that at his age he can be moulded if he'd just calm down a bit. I'd still employ Stella hands down though.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:06

I agree with BoF too. And maybe he didn't want to be interviewed?? If I had a DP/DH on TV like that then I'd be "yes ok you can show me on there, but I'm not talking" Xmas Grin

ceebeegeebies · 10/12/2010 09:07

Potpourri I am trying to rack my brains about my (limited) knowledge of what has happened to the winners.

I know that Yasmin (that won last year) is now pregnant, Lee (the one that won the year before) has since left the company I think, Michelle (blonde one that won a few years ago) left fairly quickly iirc and I think the original winner (was it Tim??) has since left the company aswell although he managed a few years.

Can't remember any other winners of the top of my head.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:14

\link{http://tv.uk.msn.com/reality-tv/the-apprentice/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=149813069&page=1\there's a few on here} only on page 2 so far myself, but Yasmin is still working for him (as of 17th October)

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:16

Kate Walsh (last year runner up) is engaged to Pantsman Xmas Shock

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:18

and yes ceebee is correct Michelle spent less than a year with him.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:24

Simon (previous winner) worked for him for 2yrs - qualified as as chartered surveyor and is now chairman of the London Contemporary Orchestra

hattymattie · 10/12/2010 09:27

Gosh - actually forgotten who Yasmin was! Remember fondly series with Katie Hopkins as best ever. And Simon as sweetest winner.

mousymouse · 10/12/2010 09:33

chris always reminds me of my brother when he had his teenage "not bovverd" phase. the same slurred speach "I didn't do anything..." attitude.

matildarosepink · 10/12/2010 09:47

I find Chris very wooden and dull to listen to. Stella quite reserved, but a strong determination under all that - I think she'd be a very reliable employee but not all that innovative. Jo a bit too loud, but just think she's trying to prove herself. She has tried to act on feedback she's been given.. Jamie seems like a sweet guy buy not entirely sure he'd be able to work for someone else and take instruction long-term without a struggle, don't think he's a stayer.

And Stuart, well.. words almost fail me. Did you see the interview with his parents? Mother saying proudly that he always did like the big business, corporate image his dad presented (while Dad sat there in his Christmas jumper, landlord of the local pub.) They both looked like great people, but I have to admit, I laughed out loud at that point and thought what great inspiration for Creature Comforts they'd be. Fantastic editing.

On balance, I think Jo would be the best choice for him. (Neither because of, or despite, her background, I think it's immaterial in all cases really.)

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 09:57

oh dear \link{http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-443711/First-Apprentice-winner-quits-100-000-year-job.html\I read this and saw it mentioned Michelle losing a baby}

and then googled some more and found \link{http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-436258/A-brutal-apprenticeship.html\this}

(yes sorry are both DM). So she was pregnant while working with him and lost the baby at 3 months+).

I hope things are happier for her now in her personal life

arudolf · 10/12/2010 10:04

I liked Stella a lot after the show last night - she came across as very determined but without being a ruthless bitch.

It was interesting that the 2 women have basically dragged themselves up from the gutter, whilst all the boys have supportive parents there to look after them, and have had every opportunity thrown at them.

I'd love to see Stella in the final, but not sure who else - but I'm sure she'll be shredded in the interviews, as that seems to be apprentice style. I've just realised I'll miss the final as it'll be on the 22nd, and I'm out of the country from the 21st :( boo!

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 10:08

When I saw more of Stella last night I thought of Xenia Xmas Grin

MollieO · 10/12/2010 10:14

Simon still works for him according to what I've read. I went off Stella last night as she was so dismissive of her SAHH. Without him she wouldn't be able to do the hours she does. I wonder how often she actually gets home in time to see her dcs before bed time. I doubt it is every day bearing in mind the hours that she would need to be working.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 10/12/2010 10:28

From what i've google her DH also works - so maybe he just gets home from work earlier than she does. Nannies, Au Pairs, the worlds you're oyster really for childcare when you've on a good wage I guess.

(though it's not really surprising her ex who she was engaged to, and with for 6yrs has said they were "like ships in the night"........well he did work as a bouncer so I presume worked at night - duh!).

MollieO · 10/12/2010 10:31

But she said in the programme that he was a SAHH and then laughed. I thought that was a bit Xmas Hmm
