Not sure whether to put it here or parenting, but anyone have a problem with Pepper Pig?

I was watching a neighbours three year old and put Pepper Pig on, was shocked by the constant references of silly daddy, daddy's fat stomach and so on

So not needed

My kids LOVE Peppa Pig. They watch in on Nick Jnr and will watch it again on Nick Jnr 2.

I think the silly Daddy Pig stuff is affectionate between families talk and the show is quite informative as it goes ;-)

We are very keen on Ben and Holly too!

My dd still loves Peppa Pig at 6!! Quite like it too actually have no problems with 'silly Daddly' etc but do think she is a spolit brat sometimes. Another Ben and Holly fan here too - love Nanny Plum!!

nomorecake · 06/12/2010 16:59

dh thinks she's a spoilt brat too.

we're on a peppa pig break, its all about Humf at the moment.

I showed my slightly overweight DH an episode of Peppa in which the password was Daddy's Fat Tummy. I thought he'd think it was funny but he was really offended.

I always feel rather sorry for daddy pig and agree that Peppa is spoilt - mindees love it though.

We have a Peppa DVD where 2 of the 8 episodes feature chocolate cake has a main role. No wonder Daddy Pug has a big tummy! AArggh, DS (2.3) is now obsessed with chocolate cake as well as Peppa.

I think the episodes that annoys Dh more are the ones where he has to get his father-in-law to save the day (eg cut the long grass with his super mower).

Fleecy · 06/12/2010 18:05

Agree with riddo - poor daddy! And peppa is a little brat but both of mine love it.

tegan · 06/12/2010 18:10

we are a peppa household too with a 6 and 2 yr old loving it, also bena and holly, humf, imagination movers and a little teletubbies.

I really don't think anything said in these programmes should be analysed by adults or our kids would never watch anything

I think it's an awesome programme! my dh is a cross between Daddy Pig and Homer Simpson, always makes me laugh at the similarities, especially the bit where a chocolate cake appears on the supermarket checkout and Daddy pig goes bright red!Smile

FreudianSlippery · 06/12/2010 19:50

We are fans of peppa but I love Ben and Holly now! I like the fact that elves work hard :o

Beattiebow · 06/12/2010 19:55

mine love peppa pig - my 7,5 and 2 yo watch it every day!

I think daddy pig is funny actually - my dcs think he is like dh because he thinks he is good at everything. agree that Peppa is a spoilt brat. But it's quite harmless really isn't it?
