We've filled up one thread, let's see if we can get through another before the end of the series!

I can't see Pam attempting a Samba in the Final, and I imagine they won't want both Kara and Matt doing a Waltz.

My guess is Kara does the Samba, Matt the Waltz and Pam the Argentine Tango.

I'll probably be proved wrong though!

Really don't want Matt to do the paso, quite a difficult dance to do well in I think (and for the uninitiated like me to appreciate). Fingers crossed for waltz and samba.

It's beyond me why they never mention Pamela's extraordinary expressions during her dances. Oh well. I'm thinking the public will be behind Kara and Matt.

Prolesworth, where do you lurk in the months of the year when there's no Strictly??

Did you come to any decision about your mum's tickets?

I'm praying that some technicality means that Pamela is OBLIGED to do a samba.

This is good for those months, Prolesworth, when the corner feels particularly lonely, and the vodka has run out.

Isn't the Samba James' 'bogie' dance too? The one he usually does then gets knocked out? Or is that the Salsa? Tbh can't tell the difference between the two.

Bomper, you are right the samba is his "leaving" dance.

To tell the difference between samba and salsa count the beats in the music. Samba has 2 beats to a bar and salsa has 4.

Prolesworth - Here is the Wiki page for this series which has all the scores on it for all the weeks ... but unless you know which dances they did when then it's not much help with knowing how they scored on a particular dance ... still quite interesting tho (there is one for every series so far linked to from the main page)

Ah - just looked further down the page and it has all the different dances listed in week-order. I thought it would but didn't see it before I posted last time

Ah thanks TC - Kara and Artem only got 38 for their tango. Looking back at their scores through the series I can't help feeling that they've been consistently undermarked. But perhaps it's because Artem gives Kara such difficult choreography that it's almost impossible to pull it off without a few minor mistakes? Whereas James has been a bit cannier with Pam, perhaps.

WOOOO! Kara and Artem are doing their American Smooth again! My favourite dance of the series, yay!

Goodness there is so much on that Wiki page! It's a statistician's dream!!

The 2 things that I found most interesting are that Kara, Pamela and Matt are the top 3 when you average out the scores (in that order) and that Craig has only not been bottom scorer twice - Pamela's rumba and Kara's American Smooth ... IYSWIM ...

Anyone on here been to the tour? What do people wear? Do they glam up? Should I get my sequins out?

Matt: paso, VW, samba
Kara: waltz, American Smooth, rumba
Pam: argentine tango, charleston, VW

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the type of showdance they'll be doing based on the costumes? Pam's looks rather ballroomy doesn't it?
