Why did Bruce do a football related joke for Gavin? Does he think rugby and football are interchangable?

Gavin has improved but not to the standard of the others so think he will go this week.

Craig did mention the lift but only in passing ... I suppose he had to mention Kara's lift as justification for not giving her a 10 whereas he doesn't have to do the same for Gavin ...
