Is it me or id Gillian doing a really bad impression of a drama queen?

I can't quite decide if she is being serious or taking the mickey with us all!

am confused that someone with an apparently serious phobia of insects should want to go on this show...

is she stupid or desperate for money or publicity...
or all of the above?

she certainly is bloody annoying anyway

Bit of both I think. Watching her 'faint' last night, I thought looked a tad suspicious. I faint - and there's no way I would know to still be able to waft flies etc off me . Why did she do it? She can harldy say she didn't know what the whole thing is about yes?

She reckons she has never seen the show before and didn't know about having to be involved with insects and stuff

I assume the need for media attention supercedes her phobias! Or so I thought.

I struggle to believe that she has never seen the show - it is huuuuuge! How could a celebrity never of heard of the show?

The thing that makes me think is that I believe they have to go through a psychological evaluation prior to being accepted to ensure they can cope with it, would this not have been picked up first?

surely if you were going on a show you would make a leeeetle effort to find out what it was all about?

how much do they pay them to go on it?

yes she does have something wrong with her back... I think it is curvature of the spine. I remember reading years ago that was why she was so obsessed with staying slim, as any weight gain caused her a lot of pain. or something like that.

I think she has some form of medical condition. I too can't make up my mind how "real" she actually is. She is being so foolish if she is acting because the public are just going to keep voting her to do the trials, which she will not be able to complete. I could have happily slapped her when she got down on her hands and knees to crawl along the bridge.

This is terribly disablist. DP is disabled so I really shouldn't repeat it but Frank Skinner told a joke a few years ago about her where he was talking about the fact her show is called 'You are what you eat.' He said "What's she been eating then? Hunchbacked hamsters?"

Oh she is awful, really not doing herself any favours. Perhaps she thinks if she looks like she's struggling, people will think wow she's overcome her fears! But actually they're mostly just thinking how bloody annoying she is. And she will be voted in every night for the trials until they rule her out 'for medical reasons' to give her a break

Did you notice how mid 'faint' she still had the presence of mind to pull her top down when it rode up and showed her supposed underwear?!

and lets not forgot she told Camp Sheila she didn't just faint once she fainted twice .

She looks awful, really awful.
Who wants to eat nothing but mung beans and quinoa if you end up looking like that?
A nice greasy fish supper would do her the world of good

I was hoping someone would post about this last night. I was really when I spotted her trying to protect her modesty whilst apparently being unconscious.
And to say she had no expectations about the show is just plain stupid especially if you have phobias. What did she expect from a programme filmed "in the jungle".
Apparently Stacey is a friend of a beutician in Stanford & she said she was going to get £50,000 for going in.

Just seen a clip on "Get me out of here now" where she tells the rest of the camp that her behaviour is the entertainment factor of the show and would they rather they just went through it with no drama.

We're being fooled.

She has scoliosis, a severe curvature of the spine, which gets worse with age.

I used to watch 'you are what you eat' and thought she was OK then, but she has gone down in my opinion somewhat since I read the chapter about her in Ben Goldacre's 'Bad Science'

The poor woman isn't doing herself any favours. She hates insects and today she won't eat the school dinners because she's a vegan! Won't even try. But it's not her fault because she has been living on another planet/doesn't know how to Google the words 'I'm a celebrity'/ actually ask any other human what it was she was 'getting into'

Agent: "Hey, Gillian! Fancy going on a programme called 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' to revive your TV career?"

Gillian: "hell, yes! Even though I have no idea what I'm getting into"

Agent : 'OK!'

Mmm, did you see her discussing Katie price tonight? She knew all about her being voted for trials time and again but that she did well getting stars in them.
Interesting for someone who's never watched the show before and knows nothing about it!

Is Gillian really only 51???? I thought she was at least 10 years older than that. Clearly her odd diet is not to be recommended.

private dancer I spotted that as well!! Apparently her daughter has been interviewed & she said Gill hasn't watched any tv for years
I don't think she can carry on like this for much longer, she is looking so rough that I think she may just pass out for real sometime soon.
