Anyone?

OP posts:

I hope Gillian's 10 year old DD isn't watching any of the show (or reading the papers) - it would be so upsetting for her.

DinahRod · 21/11/2010 22:51

Who is the blonde woman who is scarily thin with enormous boobs on ITV2?

Rindercella · 21/11/2010 22:54

I hope Gillian's DD (didn't know she had one) never saw her bullying people on her own show tbh.

Dom's 'Gillian' was followed by him saying, 'well she's not here' when everyone else chose to make sympathetic noises about her. Bet that doesn't last long Hmm Grin

God yes he's incredible isn't he.

I felt a pang of jealousy when he held her and stroked her hair. She doesn't deserve it. Grin That would have been the moment at which I would have fainted, had I been in her position.

I'm actually trying not to faint at Dittany trying not to fancy liking Linford...have you not heard what he's been saying this week Dittany?! Shock Grin

I do think though that he has been intentionally provocative to get voted to do a trial as he is rather like a caged tiger desperate to actually do something.

I will say again (said it a few days ago), Linford is 50 years old! And to my mind looks much finer than he did 20 odd years ago.

HerBeatitude · 21/11/2010 23:21

God 50 yaers old?

With that body?

LOL

Virginia Ironside (was it her?) who had been a sports writer, said that once when she had attended a training session of one of the premier teams, all the team squad took their tops off at the same time after the session and she nearly fainted.

Grin

Gillian really isn't a good advertisement for ehalthy living is she?

Why couldn't they have given her a poo-based challenge? She would have been in her element. As it were.

antlerqueen · 21/11/2010 23:56

An odd thing was mentioned on another messageboard -
McKeith is the same age as Nigella Lawson.

I think i know which one of them i'd look up to for diet advice...

clam · 22/11/2010 08:49

You know, the thing that really annoys me is that she shows not the slightest concern for her camp-mates' hunger. She actually giggled at one point last night (I think) when saying there was nothing to eat that night! And she seems to view this whole thing as a vehicle for her to supposedly face her phobias. I don't give a flying fart for her phobias. It's not about her, ffs, it's about being a team player and undergoing trials SO YOUR FRIENDS CAN EAT!!!!! Notice that when she could take a teammate with her for one of them, she chose Sheryl, as she would be nice to her and support her. Why not take someone (like Linford for example) who might win some bloody stars???? Although, to be fair, Sheryl did a good job in calming her and she probably got more than she would have done otherwise, but Gillian wasn't to know that initially. And Linford has been very nice and supportive to her as well, actually.

Anyone else notice the distinct lack of reaction from the camp when she fainted? Couldn't hear many of them expressing concern.

LOVE Dom Joli!

clam · 22/11/2010 08:57

And as for Ant (or Dec?) who said "we'll go to a break now so we can give Gillian the attention she wants needs." Grin

How can they keep straight faces?

c0rns1lk · 22/11/2010 09:02

yes Dom Joly is being really funny - can't wait to see what he says about her fainting attack.

Bloodymary · 22/11/2010 09:42

Yes I loved the bit where Ant/Dec spoke about the attention Gillian wants/needs.
Hilarious, cant wait to see how the scrawny old cow is tonight!

sockmonkey · 22/11/2010 09:54

I can't I can't I can't

Well if she can do it Grin

Send her home, and give the screen time to Dom & Jenny. They are funny.

Havers is being a Diva. His wife said she didn't wnat him to go in the first place, and has taken herself off on holiday so she doesn't have to watch. He is just a grumpy old man.

ChippedChinaTeacup · 22/11/2010 10:15

Nigel's going home, he left the Jungle overnight apparently :(

noddyholder · 22/11/2010 10:37

Isn't it odd that when she fainted none of the others jumped up to help or reacted in ANY way to her 'collapse'?

clam · 22/11/2010 12:16

Odd? Telling, more like.
Interesting that This Morning just did a poll of 3000 people, 97% of whom felt that the faint was fake!

Skillbo · 22/11/2010 15:17

Not actually that sad if Nigel has really gone - too many of them anyway and he didn't really add much. Was quite excited about him being on it as well, oh well - one of those where knowing less about him is more!

Not surprised in the slightest that no-one jumped to Gillian's defence - if she gave more of a shit about the camp and the people in it, maybe they would've. But as others have said, she really is self-obssessed. Its not 'good' telly - it's car crash telly and the british public love to see people at their lowest - that's the ONLY reason. I really don't think she's going to come out of this with her reputation even slightly intact and I certainly would want nothing to do with her professionally after this - stupid woman.

And Shock at her having a little DD - she is not exactly showing great character traits.. not so much the lack of working as a team which is pretty poor - but lying about her trial... I also hope she hasn't seen too much about her mum or heard what people are saying. No matter how true - it's her mum and I would be devestated that she's such a hate figure!

Linford really made Ant & Dec look like miniature people - he really looked amazing! Just amazing - not going to go any further as he is a total arse in real life, only flashes of which have come out so far! Complete arse - but a rather nice arse, and arms, and chest....

oh and Kelly, looking forward to more of your great insights later... pregnancy obviously agrees with you Smile

Rindercella · 22/11/2010 16:02

You know, I was watching Gillian cross the bridge on her way to the 1st non trial (the digger one) last night, and when she started having hysterics about the spider I thought that my 3 year old DD is a far, far better actress than she is. In fact, her hysterics were very pre-school like indeed.

She is also one of the very few people who manage to make Ant & Dec appear relatively tall! Grin

I have a feeling she will be excluded from any further trials on 'medical grounds'. Let's hope that means we might get to ogle see Linford in action some more [salacious grin]

Am loving Dom. Shaun is just fantastic. Jenny is good. Those are my top 3, but of course are liable to change. Oh, really like Stacey too. Her voice grates a bit but she is surprisingly switched on.
