tassisssss · 11/11/2010 20:18

i think they are her real children

i love her btw

tassisssss · 11/11/2010 20:20

i especially like her dresses and her fairy lights and her bookcases

(her cooking I can mostly give or take! so far nothing in this series has particularly grabbed me but I love her CHristmas book)

kittya · 11/11/2010 20:36

Only £33 million? what a bargain!!

She said tonight she was in Battersea. I hope it is her family home and, not just a studio!!

Id rather have a garden than a massive house tbh.

Do you actually think she does all her own cooking?

I grew up in Battersea, in a 4 bed terrace. Our garden was about that size.

Dando · 11/11/2010 20:41

It's a studio in battersea.

noddyholder · 11/11/2010 20:46

Does anyone really 'kick off' friday night with scallops and fragrant pea puree?

kittya · 11/11/2010 20:47

if its a dine in for a tenner from M and S then, yes!! Grin

sharbie · 11/11/2010 21:02

yes they are her real kids
husband famously reclusive and just eats 20 boiled eggs a day (or something) so he won't be on the programme

VivaLeBeaver · 11/11/2010 21:51

A jar of pesto would be so much cheaper than buying 4 bunches of basil. Plus then all the hassle of making it. I never saw the garden, missed the beginning.

compfan · 11/11/2010 22:05

33 million for her house and when she eats you'd think she normally has to live on bread and water. Smile

BelligerentGhoul · 11/11/2010 22:10

I didn't see the programme and can't comment on the garden - but homemade pesto is deffo nicer!

droves · 11/11/2010 22:15

I dont think its her real house , or garden.

Infact i think Nigella is a stepford wife.

Shes not real
she cant be.
she cooks her kitchen still looks spotless and perfect, so does she.

I cook , kitchen looks like bomb hit it and i end up covered in bits of food...
... Even if its just beans and toast, never mind all that braised venison and crushed pea marmalade malarky ! Wink

MollieO · 11/11/2010 22:19

It isn't the whole house. The two top floors are owned by an Egyptian couple. They (Nigella and her dh) are moving because they are fed up with couple's long term building work.

sharbie · 11/11/2010 22:27

so a £33 m flat?????????

kittya · 11/11/2010 22:37

Mollie, how do you know that? surely they can afford a WHOLE house, even if it is in a posh part of London Smile

OP posts:
MollieO · 11/11/2010 22:39

It was in the Evening Standard [needs to get a life emoticon]. I know someone who lives near them. Their living room is bigger than my entire house!

kittya · 11/11/2010 22:41

do they see her carrying her own shopping home from Waitrose?!

OP posts:
lucykate · 11/11/2010 22:41

have overdone the wine tonight and read the thread title as 'do you think nigella's lady garden is really that tiny' Blush

kittya · 11/11/2010 22:42

I bet its not! tidy maybe but, not tiny!

OP posts:
MollieO · 11/11/2010 22:43

They used to see Lord Forte going for his walk every day (before he died).

lucykate thanks - have just had red wine come out of my nose. Grin

Showmeheaven · 11/11/2010 22:52

Someone said on MN that Nigella is turning into a parody of herself and I think thats true to a degree .... still like her tho.

droves · 11/11/2010 23:04

HOW CAN YOU BE A PARODY OF YOUSELF ?.
