Ever since Father Ted I have referred to dh's privates as "your lad".

That was a Mrs Doyle quote wasn't it?

First ever episode.

Two old ladies are discussing the film about which Ted and Dougal are protesting ("careful now", "down with this sort of thing")

Old Lady 1: "He got his lad out. It reminded me of your Billy"

Old Lady 2: "Ah no, Billy's was rounder at the top"

or something like that .

That was it,though I also seem to remember Mrs Doyle talking about 'him standing there with his lad in his hand,wanting you to degrade yourself.'

Father Benny Cake wrote & performed Vienna.

I don't know what episode that was, but it must have irritated Midge Ure no end.

It amuses me that people still think father ted is a comedy when it is infact a fly on the wall documentary about life in ireland.
