anyone else fed up with X Factor?

I just find that, this year, I'm less interested as the weeks go on.
I don't really have any real interest in any of them, and don't care who goes!

Simon, who is supposedly the genius who makes anything turn to gold, clearly doesn't have a clue - he's only got one group left! Granted, theyre cute, but are they "what the music industry is missing", like he claims?!?!

Dannii, I do like her, but she's never been a good singer, yet criticises their vocals!

Cheryl - she's becoming a bit cringey as Simon's lap dog. She was clearly miming through half of her song last week, the vocals changed suddenly when she switched to the (very few) live bits. I really dont think anyone should be miming on that stage!

Louis, youve got to love him :)

I also hate how the audience keep booing Wagner! It's the public voting him through, it's not HIS fault!!

NO ONE criticises anything this year

PestoEatsGunpowderPlotters · 01/11/2010 14:23

I was fed up of it before it started....

LadyBlaBlah · 01/11/2010 14:24

It is a pile of steaming shite with the deliberate intent of wasting hours of your precious and short life and robbing you of your hard earned cash

DamselInDisgrace · 01/11/2010 14:25

Louis's bow ties are unspeakable. You don't have to love them.

You should watch it while participating in the MN thread. Makes the whole thing much more entertaining.

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/11/2010 14:26

I too am a bit sick of it. DD and I said that the other night. I really don't care, and I don't think anyone involved in it does either.

It was always shite anyway, but now I think the bubble has burst, to be honest.

Dannii is the only one who speaks any sense.

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/11/2010 14:26

It is like I am watching a diofferent programme than the judges. I mean what the HELL was Simon winking at Fat Mary for? There was no need for that pre-watershed.

GreenStinkingStumpSleeves · 01/11/2010 14:27

well I reckon they have been told to be more complimentary about the contestants because they are raking it in selling the "performances" on itunes

I watch out of fascinated disgust, dh and I play bullshit bingo (you get 2 points for something like "you look like a popstar", or "You are what this show is all about", but 5 points for a real corker like "you made it your own"

and I HATE HATE Dannii Minogue, she is SO supercilious, her eyes are as cold as ice, she does nothing but posture and pull loony faces in an attempt to look sexy, she is modelling herself on the bone-meltingly obnoxious Paula Abdul and she is a hasbeen that never was

car crash tv at its best Grin

ilovesprouts · 01/11/2010 14:28

vmcd28 · 01/11/2010 14:54

re bullshit bingo - the 10-pointer surely has to be "You gave it 110%"

OP posts:
FolornHope · 01/11/2010 14:55

theya re often SO SO SHIT
and yet they say " yhat was awesome"

twitter vair gd

LadyInPink · 01/11/2010 15:04

Hee hee the 110% comment really grates on my DH nerves too as he is a mathematician Grin

It's inane twaddle and so past it's best - churning out the same lines and mentor spats every year - borrr-ring!

Wouldn't know who was left, really don't care, it doesn't mean anything anymore. Who even remembers Steve Brookstein and the chubby girl who won few years back oh and Leon Jackson, didn't he win one year.

Bullshit at it's worst!!

GetOrfMoiLand · 01/11/2010 15:12

Who on this thread shouted 'wanker!' at the screen when Simon Cowell came on with vampire teeth, the nob.

Am sure it qwasn't just me.

noeyedear · 01/11/2010 20:01

Re: Bullshit Bingo- What about 'You're right up my street'?

I'm a bit sick of it. I watch it, but only after Merlin. This week, I was channel hopping after about 10 minutes though. I don't care who wins, I don't vote because I don't believe it makes any difference (and I'm not lining SC's pockets any further!) You can see who the judges want to go through, no matter how crap they are. Why does SC keep saying to Katie' You sang better in the sing off than in the show ' when in the show he never said a bad word about her?

BootyMum · 02/11/2010 07:47

Really can't stand Cheryl. That salute she does as she comes out on stage, her mimed performance of her crap song [which is now Number 1, yawn], the way the other judges gave her a standing ovation [why?]. This is a show that promotes the judges and their own bland, lowest common denominator, over-processed, over-promoted musical careers.

Agree with LadyinPink, who will have heard of the contestants in 6 months time.

Mum72 · 02/11/2010 08:03

I absolutely despise this show and have done for a good few years now.

Sadly I am in the minority in our house and every Saturday night I have to endure XFACTOR HELL.

It is uber shite. I get through Saturday nights by joining the MN thread and also get involved with an Xfactor bitchfest on facebook! Grin

This Saturday night I have a night off and am actually going out (YAY). Its karaoke so i will be inflicting my own talentless vocals on others escaping the Xfactor Hell!

BridesheadRegardless · 02/11/2010 09:02

We watch it but in a very tired 'I suppose we might as well as we're in on a saturday' type of way.

They are being very uncritical of everyone, it makes it very dull.

They've used the line 'I liked you last week but LOVED you this week' too often too early imo, what they going to do next week??

Also I thought Jay kay's performance was brilliant and they all refused to give him a standing ovation. I know his comments in the papers were not nice, but it shows it for the farce it is, the standing ovations for guests are not about performance/talent but just a lovey 'if you say I'm great I'll say your great' stitch up.

They think we're all so thick. Maybe we are. as I said we are watching.

(LOVE STictly though!!)
