I have just seen Pingu for the first time and I love it. When did this show first air? Maybe my mum kept me from seeing it as it is so anarchic. The one I saw he had peed all over the floor and was mopping it up. Then they built up around the loo. It was priceless. It must be quite old as the father was smoking a pipe. I love it.

The first time! [hshock]

It was around when my cousin was small. He is 21 now. Not sure when it started but DS loves it too.

We have the DVDs, Wink it is a fab show.

It started early 90s. Brilliant programme.

When we lived in Thailand I got DD a DVD of it. I am embarrassed to confess that I asked the assistant if the language was english.

I love it too. For a while (reminicant glint in eye) DS thought he was Pingu and his little sister was Pinga Grin.

That episode was banned in the US if I remember correctly. Ds is 15 and we used to watch it when he was little.

I love Pingu, it's like a microcosm of family life - The Osbournes for pre-schoolers. The early ones are the best. We have two DVDs of it and the later stuff has a different theme tune, different "voices" and looks more plasticky somehow. Not as good.

It is brilliant. Yesterday morning was one where he tells this guy his washing fell down, and the guy gives him sweets. Then his friend tries to fleece the guy for more sweets by knocking washing down.

Genius!
