The new M&S ad looks really good.....does it carry through to the shop?

Have seen the new TV ad for M&S quite a lot over the last few days and its really good. The clothes look nice. The ad makes M&S feel like its more up to date........does the merchandise displayed in the shops reflect this. I think this ad campaign could turn M&S around.

have been in 3 M+Ss recently trying to find stuff for an interview and would say Advert bears no relation to reality!!

I thought that the ad looked good and more up to date, but that there was still a big element of "we are only for those who can afford us". I loved some of the stuff shown, but didn't feel it was worth looking because it was out of my price range

Yes I know what you mean, I love the look with the little short fur looking gilet thing but it would cost quite a bit to get it. I hate all my winter clothes so really want to buy everything but when I do my sums I know that Id be foolish to splash up because then I would be skint for Christmas.

It's nothing like the Bradford store although I nearly bought a pair of jeans there today.

Haven't seen the advert but I thought there was some quite nice stuff in there last week, specially Per Una.

Just looked at the website and have bookmarked some of my favourites and will look again when sale starts - usually Christmas Day...GROAN!!! Last year I held out for a fab plum coloured tailored coat it was originally priced at £90 I ordered it on Boxing Day for £35, absolute bargain.

motherinferior recommended their Limited Edition jeans..tried some on this morning but they didn't have my size in the colour I wanted..so will try Marble ARch at teh weekend. agree re: layout cod
