I love the xfactor and dd loves simon cowell even more than the xfactor its self. but for the last 2 weeks she has fallen asleep on the sofa after a glimpse of her very first love (dont get the attraction my self and never have but she is 4), before the first act has even got going, so I swoop her up and tuck her into bed and potter around listening to it and both this week and last week get as far a cheryl and cant stomach any more and turns telle off.

I just dont know what do with my self now for the next 11 or plus weeks if this is to become a regular occurance of hers, what can i do to keep her awake so i can enoy it again.

that type of telly is the pits IMHO. I always wanted to like it, but the reality is it is dull as ditch water. Your DD has the right idea Grin

How about R4, they have some V Interesting stuff on of an eve, esp if accompanied by a glass of wine........

do you think shes telling you its on too late and she cant stay awake.

why not watch it together on the sunday afternoon.

i think the results show should be on earlier than 8pm on sundays for the kids that want to see the results. ds8 loves watching it on the saturday night cuddled up on sofa with me but i cant have him going to bed at 9pm on sundays.

I wasn't being sarcastic- just wondering why you wouldn't watch on your own.

We have a very successful and funny live blog-type event for it every Saturday which really feels like a night in with friends, so you are more than welcome to join us tomorrow or next week, should you wish. It is like a secret enclave of MN, and you can make a lot of friends on there.

Sorry if I sounded arsey- that was not my intention Smile
