Did anyone happen to watch this?

I kinda enjoyed it, there were some odd bits but it was quite touching and pleasant to watch.

Nice to see kids from these areas getting a chance at a better life, especially that lad who went for the ballet scholarship. Wish I had those opportunities when I were a lad....

Veery pushy head coach, but you could clearly see he only wanted what was best for the boys; so you can't knock him really.

I watched this with DS2 (a rare treat itself, barely have time these days...) who has now declared he wants to do what they do. Hm, I don't think there's any cheerleading groups around here...

Anywho, I'm going off on a tangent. Yeah, so I like it, anyone with me?

yes, i did enjoy it.
as there were a lot of single mums, the boys needed a strong male role model, and i think IAN was giving them that
shades of billy eliot with the lad getting the chance to go to ballet school, and the same part of the country too.

hi dazl
there did seem to be as lot of emphasis on the single mums, that may have been the way it was edited. those boys were the ones i felt needed someone like ian.
he is very good with them.
good for joe too, he sounds great.

Does anyone know if the boy got the scholarship? I was dying to see how he got on. I hope his dad DID see it.

The head coach was great with the kids - so were the 2 other coaches. They seemed to really care about the team and the boys (and the mums too).

Do none of the boys get the mickey talken out of them because they do this - especially with the pink logo?

The lad has to go back in March (I think?) to go through the next stage of interviews, so it's a waiting game until then really!
