Feel free to tell me to get a life.

My plan - watch Strictly, pause when dd comes back from party and let her see the end. Put dd to bed (maybe).

Record Harry Hill and X Factor. Start to watch then fast forward boring bits and ads of XF at about 8.15pm, should catch up before the end at that rate.

Watch Harry Hill at leisure.

Count me in!!

What time do they both start?
I'm very excited , especially about x factor

braveandcrazy · 09/10/2010 13:33

Strictly - 5.45pm - 7.40pm

X factor - 7.40pm - 10.10pm

No clash, thankfully someone made a sensible decision about that.

We ar going to Sky+ them both - start watching one (not sure which yet) by 8pm when the boys are in bed.

We usually fast forward through all the boring Tess bits in SCD and all Bruce's witterings plus the ads in X-Factor so I reckon we might be finished by 11 Wink

I don't know what to do for the best. We are due a late-afternoon bike ride then home for a lovely stew currently in the slowcooker. But if we don't get home till after the start of Strictly there will be no time to do the dumplings, and if we use DelayTV then we will not catch up in time for X-Factor as there's no advert breaks on during Strictly are there. And I can't delay two programmes at once.
It's all a mess...

We're missing the end of Strictly to watch Harry Hill, we love him.

braveandcrazy · 09/10/2010 14:00

Now there's not much in life I would miss Strictly or XF for, but dumplings is definitely one of them! Can you not delay Strictly and forward through Brucie's intros? And the first 10 mins of XF will probably be reviews and rubbish anyway.

Well it was a bit of a slog. Got back from biking at 5.25, tasked dd(9) onto dumplings whilst I cosied up the house and dh unloaded 3 bikes and ds's electric wheelchair. Then dsis and bil turned up having heard about the dumplings so we all settled down.
Dumplings were very nice indeed and 4.5 hours later we were all done.
Dunno if I can keep this up every Saturday till Christmas though.
